hbos propaganda commentary has worn thin aswell

they most probably have earpieces in telling them what to talk about, i think thats why kellerman has changed up.

roy is the only one who keeps it semi real

I feel the same, the producers are really in their ear these days. It's almost like they pause before talking now before it had a more natural flow of conversation {as much as broadcasting can}to it. A good broadcaster can pull that off but it just goes to show how much they are talking in the ear piece.

who knows but all they need is one more channel that ups the amount of good fight cards that they air and HBO will be in serious trouble
Fights used to be on every other week, when a Boxing match came on it was like a event for the the whole neighborhood, now it's nothing and tumbleweeds

Those used to be the days, reading Chicken De La Hoya editorials every week, or when my homie Chris came over Saturday mornings arguing about who is better Tito or Oscar.....

HBO is doing boxing future a disservice, if people say boxing is dead than HBO was complicit

kovalev reminds me of mike mccallum a little bit. that jab to the liver that knocked agnew out, kovalev threw another jab to the same spot just a few seconds before he took that knee. i dont think he was too hurt but he was just defeated psychologically at that point those jabs to the liver just sealed it. he had his elbows up, almost to his chest at times, all night, with that liver wide open. i've never seen a jab knockout to the liver before but kovalev was smart to see those high elbows a lot of fighters get away with it

still not super impressed with Kovalev. I do like his body frame, he is not one of those heavily muscled guys but still pretty athletic. His boxing awareness is up for question though. Agnew while a good amateur basically has no pro experience against anything above a tomato can. His shell is what allowed him to survive and Kovalev just played the numbers game, not going to work against a fighter with more experience :comeon: Its gonna be a different story against someone with countering abilities when they return fire.

I will go out on a limb and say that Stevenson-Kovalev could eerily resemble Haye-Maccrinelli (although Kovalev seems better than Enzo)

Showtime does it also, it still irks me when Bernstien told Paulie do you really want to bite the hand that feeds you:birdman:

Now imagine the fukkery and pull Arum has over at HBO, them bytches thought the Mayfied fight was a draw, well if that fight was a draw, Swift had the showing of his life out landing his opponent double in the power punching category, but that was a robbery huh, but I digress.......

Maybe Starz needs to throw they hand into the boxing jar. :ohhh:

Wealth TV and NBC Sports been having better fights than HBO too sometimes.

Adamek/Glazkov >> anything HBO showed this year so far.

word the nbc sports card this Friday will prolly be more interesting than this past HBO card....WealthTV can become a player if they can get on more TV systems. They've been on point so far. They've already aired several FOTY candidates in the last 3 years or so.

TBH, I took a nap during the Mayfield fight. Woke up for the main event. Dulorme aint shyt. This is not championship caliber boxing. From the way Dulorme fights, he aint shyt but a damn snack for the top 140lbers. What does that say about Mayfield? :snoop:

This.....

Plus he backs into a straight line, elite level fighters will take advantage of that.........Would his power appear godly facing his competition level let alone elite fighters like BHOP and Steveson

backing in straight line is tell-tell when a fighter is so hellbent on offense that he shortcuts when it comes to defense. against a fighter with hand speed, he's gonna get dropped. as you could see, when he backed up he offered nothing up offensively. he is the type of guy that will look great against some guys but a bad matchup is right around the corner to make him look like an uneducated bum.

and that's prolly why boone nearly took his zero in the first fight..boone is something of a counter puncher and good hand speed

Yeah Kovalev was tagged anytime Agnew exploded. He'd back up straight and eat a couple shots and then move forward again.

I'd like to see him in their with Chilemba, but dude could very well be a spoiler in that match up.

I'm impressed with Kovalevs' power and combinations, but that's about it. He's like a bigger less advanced prototype of GGG to me.

kovalev also may need to do some more roadwork...dude was huffin and puffin a little hard fighting someone that wasn't punching back that much :patrice:
