seriously breh and skip is one of those nikkas too...its like anytime floyd is discussed they come out of the woodwork..nikkas who dont watch boxing except when he or pac is fighting..feel the need to be superstan..but ask them a simple question that a nikka who watches boxing regularly can answer easy like "what do you think is the fight of the year so far?' and they're like " uhhh floyd is the greatest..money team"..ive asked like 3 of those cats that question and not one could answer...its pathetic

fight of the year to me without question was Figueroa. now...others may have a different opinion...but for me the intensity and will that Arawat brought was something different. a true fight of the year candidate is a fight that actually makes you cringe when you watch it because you are cheering for both fighters but wishing they dont end up with permanent damage at the same time.

Bradley Prov was constant back and forth and had Bradley surviving and fighting back storming then Prov digging down, and finally putting Timmy down with 10 seconds left being saved by the bell on some straight Rocky shyt:ufdup:

I just dont remember seeing the dynamics of a fight like Figueroa. One fighter looked as if he was ready for the final bell to ring...yet was supremely confident that he was going to win. The other didnt care if the fight went on all night long....yet knowing he was outgunned from round to round. It was an interesting fight to watch and I wouldnt miss a rematch because it would be the same way.

The deciding factor is you would never expect Bradley to fight a high action fight like that although he fought his style his matches are usually ugly and tough on the eyes..............................

To me it seemed like 2 guys who refused to accept a back step and wanted to win. Both had little to no defense and slugged away. A great brawl in my opinion. But a FOTY has to have drama, suspense, a compelling story line either before the fight or during the fight that develops, has to have eb and flow. The Figueroa fight was pretty much Fig winning all the rounds by slugging away and the other dude going out on his shield and leaving nothing in the tank. A cool brawl to watch, but I need more from a FOTY- enter Bradley v Provodnikov...

This fight was great. First off, its Bradley coming off an undeserved W against Pacman, which for a dude like Bradley who has been given nothing in his career and fights hard for what he has, was hard to swallow so he came in feeling like he had something to prove. THen you have Prov, who is a chief sparring partner for Pacman and trained by Roach. You literally couldnt come up with this story arc. Im not gonna go and recap what happened, but you had Bradley fighting like he had something to prove, getting hurt numerous times to the point where hes actually out on his feet but persevering and refusing to fight Prov the same way he fought Pacman. Prov hurting him in the beginning, Bradley taking control in the middle rounds, Prov taking it back in the last half of the fight before finally getting Bradley to the canvas in the final bell to only run out of time!!?!?! Unbelievable classic stuff!

He said he didn't want him around while training N then changed his mind to adding him to be a corner man:ehh:

Losing Roach N adding his pops:lawd:
Don't know...this is sounding like the same indecisiveness and lack of commitment we saw before the martinez fight. First he is not going to be in his corner and then he is going to be in his corner

Roach was the one who let him smoke trees, train when he wanted and bullshyt, not mention Roach teaching him to dummy fight when Chavez Sr was begging him keep his chin tucked, lessen that target and fight behind the jab...................

Bradley vs Provodnikov is definitely FOTY so far to me. The Figeroa fight was cool, but shyt just felt like watching an old Erik Morales fight where he makes an entertaining brawl against someone that can't hurt him for shyt and it goes 12 rds. It needed more drama for it to be a FOTY.

Kessler/Froch 2 was a great fight as well that gets slept on. I'd even put that cruiserweight scrap with Jones and Lebedev up their as well.

Sparring partners of Floyd are arguing about who is taking the biggest asswhipping by Floyd in sparring leading up to the Canelo fight so far.

:pachaha:

I heard Floyd was super sharp from day 1, you didnt hear these things until late in training camp with Guerrero, Canelo gonna get worked

Of course hes super sharp- he fought in May. Thats what I want to see from Floyd-staying active and fighting twice a year. Floyd should look alot better than he has recently as a result, which is hard to imagine considering how gorgeous he looked when he outclassed Guerrero. Interestingly enough, I remember more people giving Guerrero and Ortiz a chance to beat Floyd than ppl are giving Canelo. After seeing what he did to Guerrero, most are expecting the same thing to happen to Canelo, even easier. And I get that since theyre more accomplished, have better resumes, etc but it does set the stage up for a massive upset :lupe:

out of all the FOTY candidates Kessler-Froch 2 is the one felt I was just a good fight not FOTY worthy...its a pity Lebedev-Jones wasn't on American TV
