I do think Virgil Hunter is a little overrated, but he's not garbage. Sometimes as a trainer you're only as good as the fighters your given and then shyt just happens. His fighter should have won against that white south african dude the other day, but he got robbed with that draw verdict and nobody seriously thought Mike Dallas Jr was going to beat Lucas the machine.
I don't think he can improve anything with Khan since the jury's out on him and anybody with a decent punch and/or share a similar size is going to go for broke on his chin.
Berto been with Hunter for a minute, but at first they were trying to keep it secret and Berto has yet to fight with him in the corner so I'll be interested in seeing how that experiment goes. He should be able to beat a guy like Soto Karass, but sometimes guys have a hard time finding their groove during the first fight with a new trainer so I do expect him to struggle in certain moments, but I'd be extremely surprised if he loses. Berto's biggest flaws were that he didn't have any type of ring identity and that his grip on the core basics of boxing is loosely put together. I don't expect all of that shyt to get corrected by Saturday night.
