I cant wait for the Matthysse vs Garcia fight


Brehs, have yall noticed we talk more about THAT fight than Floyd vs Alvarez


Garcia has easily a better resume than Matthysse and as far as common opponents, he beat on Zab Judah while Matthysse clearly lost to him.

However, Matthysse has just as much power in both hands and a better chin than Garcia, but Garcia is a better boxer with tons of power as well. Both have about the same amount of hand speed and have tendencies to throw wild hooks at times

And I agree about that fight being talked about more, Canelo nutthuggers lost their confidence in him after Trout, they already are calling for Floyd vs GGG


Canelo should have waited, his inability to talk english well, is fukking up the promotion of the fight Floyd cant even go full heel mode. Canelo team must have known an exposal was imminent

nikkas all over the place with Garcia in here.

Although he beat Zab clearly, he lost a good 3 or (4 at the most) rounds of that fight and most came at the end. Dude looked buzzed/hurt to me. He wasn't looking like Cotto in the Chop Chop fight, but Judah clearly got that nikkas attention.

I thought Zab clearly beat Matttysee, but Lucas was never hurt or buzzed badly and the rounds he lost weren't as clear or big as the ones Garcia lost against Zab in my opinion.

At the end of the day styles make fights and the Zab fights don't mean shyt in a LM/Gacrica bout. Garcia hasn't been babied. His only real gimmie fight was with Morales, and this the same Morales that young bucks like Cano and Maidana went life and death with. LM definitely improved on his style since the Judah and Alexander fights but we won't know if his approach to those type of opponents has improved since he's been fighting guys more suited to his style. Garcia ain't known for his dazzling footwork and LM can very well win, but that doesn't mean he'd beat guys who are boxers 1st and punchers 2nd. I feel Garcia/LM is a 50/50 fight. No need to slight either guy cuz they both beasts, but personally I'm leaning toward LM beating Danny in a shootout where we finally see Lucas hurt.

Zab Judah never buzzed Matthysse in their fight and never decided to stop and trade with him like he did with Garcia

Alexander has some snap on his punches to and Matthysse was never in danger in that fight either

Even DeMarcus Corley, he is old as shyt now in the boxing world, but he has some pop too and I dont recall Lucas not walking through his punches either.

I said a similar thing in the "pac on Floyd...." thread..that fight IS why im going to fork over my hard earned 75 bucks to watch this fight in the privacy of my home..mayweather-canelo has no heat on it..this fight does...its a must to witness the beating of young Danny Garcia in all its HD glory brehs

I coulda sworn he already got knocked the F out by Tsyzu and lost to Spinks before he looked ahead to a Mayweather fight and lost a decision to Tata...but this has nothing to do with Judah and Tata- this is about Garcia. And my point was he was brought along carefully by his handlers with his first REAL test coming against Khan (smh), and then he fought unretired Morales twice! Then fought waaay past his prime Judah. To me, Matthysse is Garcias second real test. If he wins he'll be certifiable.

Real talk, the Campbell and Morales wins ain't too much to hang your hat on, but Garcia gets props for beating **** and Zab. **** is like a right hand version of Zab when you think about it. Quick hard punching dudes with weak chins. The Khan win was good too, but other than that his resume is just a above average to me while LM's is a lil less than that. When I hear the words cleaned out division or great resume guys like Abner Mares come to mind first.

Whether the fight happened now or 2 years from now, this would be the exact type of promotion we'd get. Floyd isn't as outgoing and or arrogant as he once was and Canelo has always been a quiet guy. It doesn't make up for a huge build up but I think a lot of us just want to see what happens. But I will say I'm a lot more eager for Matthysse vs Garcia.

That's debatable, but I think Zab's problem was more outside the ring which led to him not being a very disciplined / focused fighter during what was probably the most important times of his career. I've always thought if Zab had the right people around him and he took his craft seriously he'd be in a better position today as a fighter. He had the tools.

Lets just agree to disagree bro. I know a forum like this is for going back and forth, but we're not getting anywhere. They fight Sept 14, so if Garcia wins im sure on the 15th youll let me know. If Matthysse wins, I wont let you know cuz real talk im not that big a fan of him. I just dont respect Danny Garcia. He has to earn my respect. And beating Matthysse will make me do that. Im just happy the fight got made and thrown into the Mayweather-Alvarez sparring session.

Garcia is still a yyoung fighter....he went from Campbell to **** to Morales (cheated on the scales N gave Maidana hell) to Khan the top dog at 140 to roided Morales (cuz of rematch clause) to a pissed off motivated Zab in BK

How is he protected?? Who did they keep him away from Ajose??

Obviously letting the fight wit Matthysse marinate jus a lil worked so tf is the problem?? errybody involved has benefited....more money, more exposure etc...
