Cotto's never really had a right hand because naturally he's a lefty. Just like Oscar, he never had a solid right hand more than a vicious left hook. The best I ever saw Cotto's right hand was in the Mosley fight. I'm curious as to Cotto's training for this fight because Freddie's preparation deals with a lot of intense mitt work which we're not used to seeing Cotto do more than just getting the accuracy on point more than Freddie's approach where he looks for a lot of power shots. I think Cotto in this fight has to go to the body being Delvin is gonna tower over him.
Hard to guage when hes been on a bum tour.......
How could one say he improved when he aint face no fighters on the level of Zab and Alexander nor avenged those losses, and if bum ass Ajose turned the Matthysse fight into a life and death brawl and hit him at will what is Garcia gonna do

Like you said the Mosley fight, is a fight that showed he could puch with that hand, he was a 2 handed fighter earlier in his career also, he must be slacking in his preparation

My gripe with Garcia was that he was brought along carefully and hasnt stepped up. Minus the upset of Khan, who depending who you ask is a good opponent or not, he hasnt stepped up. Matthysse is the step up. So we'll see what Garcia is made of. Personally, if he wins ill be surprised but will naturally give him his props and respect him and his skill more. If he loses, I wont be surprised tho as Im expecting Matthysses power to be the difference.
Before Khan he had **** Campbell, and Morales, he Actually he fought everybody and cleaned out his division from mid level to top level who he aint fight, i'll wait...........................
Stop talking out your ass, what was Garcia 23-24 when he fought Khan, and he aint step up child please he had names on his reume already. And please do not compare LM weak ass resume to Garcia's. Being walked along is facing C level fighters like Ajose, Peterson, Priotti and Dallas after taking 2 l's vs 2 gatekeepers

Cotto also did fukk up his shoulder early in his career from an accident. I've always thought if he had as equal a right hand as his left he would've been somethin else.

Brehs, have yall noticed we talk more about THAT fight than Floyd vs Alvarez
Garcia has easily a better resume than Matthysse and as far as common opponents, he beat on Zab Judah while Matthysse clearly lost to him.
However, Matthysse has just as much power in both hands and a better chin than Garcia, but Garcia is a better boxer with tons of power as well. Both have about the same amount of hand speed and have tendencies to throw wild hooks at times
