Freak show events are not necessarily below him, he started out in boxing with Fury vs Ngannou iirc, that was his and the whole Ryad Season's introduction. Then AJ vs Ngannou too though that had more legitimacy due to Fury almost fukking up against Ngannou.

But Jake Paul threw a tantrum about Canelo so I guess fortunately this is really off.
Still not holding my breath about Canelo's opponents, I expect nobody that could pose a real threat for now but at least we didn't steep that low.

I believe Turki's first fight was AJ vs Ruiz 2 the rematch, in 2019

Fury vs Ngannou is what made Riyad Season blow up though

All this over a failed negotiation :mjtf:
He not so low key disrespecting all his future potential opponents
Also haven't some of his fights flopped? He needs dance partners in a way Mayweather and even Canelo didn't
well yeah...his appeal was knocking out athletes/mma fighters/ youtubers..he should have just stayed in that lane..im hoping for the day someone tears up that script and gives him the beating he should be getting from a boxer lol

It dawned on me today that Canelo has had 5 legitimately difficult fights out of his last 15.

(Bivol, GGG 1, GG2, Plant, Kovalev). You could maybe argue Billy Joe Saunders was another difficult fight. Okay 6 fights out of 15.

*Kovalev fight was a classic A side, shifty move, forcing Kovalev to sign up off 8 weeks notice after an exhausting, 12 round slugfest against Anthony Yarde, or lose the chance at the fight entirely.

So technically the Kovalev fight is an unfair scrap (Kovalev did tire in the latter rounds and get ktfo, so it is an accurate summation).

Out of those 5 / 6 fights, you can argue that Canelo lost 3 of them, but definitely lost 2 of them, and was gifted a draw.

What a pathetic last quarter of a career.
Now do the same for crawford last 15 or tank or ggg or spence

GGG3 was difficult too...he gassed badly in the 2nd half. if it wasnt for the fact GGG was slow to the trigger in the first half, canelo could have lost that fight
That's a good point, GGG always a threat, but you could tell GGG was feeling the size difference, he was hesitant, Canelo had a serious size advantage. The steroids/hgh/cutting agents he takes to develop himself at 168 and 175 over a sustained period have given him a good 20 pounds on GGG, who has campaigned at entire 44 fight career at 160. Let's call a spade a motherfukken spade, fukk it while we at it Beterbiev a drug cheat too, cut the bullshyt.

Bit of a travesty what the sport / drug cheating / bad scorecards did to a boxing legend. His only 2 losses and 1 draw came due to Alvarez, one wasn't a loss, the other wasn't a draw, the other a result of sustained drug use and an inflated physique due to peds.

Sure, but we talking about Alvarez right now, and the fact that he's fighting welterweights for fukks sake, instead of boxing the other champs in his weight division, the most sucker shyt by a prizefighter (Tank a close second, maybe deadheat).

Canelo is taking advantage of dumb boxing fans.. todays fans will pay to see him fight a youtuber Jake Paul and a blown up welterweight Crawford.. Why shouldn't he take advantage?
