It dawned on me today that Canelo has had 5 legitimately difficult fights out of his last 15.

(Bivol, GGG 1, GG2, Plant, Kovalev). You could maybe argue Billy Joe Saunders was another difficult fight. Okay 6 fights out of 15.

*Kovalev fight was a classic A side, shifty move, forcing Kovalev to sign up off 8 weeks notice after an exhausting, 12 round slugfest against Anthony Yarde, or lose the chance at the fight entirely.

So technically the Kovalev fight is an unfair scrap (Kovalev did tire in the latter rounds and get ktfo, so it is an accurate summation).

Out of those 5 / 6 fights, you can argue that Canelo lost 3 of them, but definitely lost 2 of them, and was gifted a draw.

What a pathetic last quarter of a career.
GGG3 was difficult too...he gassed badly in the 2nd half. if it wasnt for the fact GGG was slow to the trigger in the first half, canelo could have lost that fight

Is there anything preventing Jake Paul from working with Turki or being on his cards?
Given his track record so far I think Turki would be against setting him up against serious opponents but who knows
ill give jake his credit for managing to make his promotional stable profitable without turki involved as he is able to go in between the legit pro world for his boxers and the carny influencer nature for him and the youtubers..double dipping lol

but turki dont respect jake as a boxer and we know turki would have him facing legit cruisers/heavies...jake is not at that level..the party would be over

Freak show events are not necessarily below him, he started out in boxing with Fury vs Ngannou iirc, that was his and the whole Ryad Season's introduction. Then AJ vs Ngannou too though that had more legitimacy due to Fury almost fukking up against Ngannou.

But Jake Paul threw a tantrum about Canelo so I guess fortunately this is really off.
Still not holding my breath about Canelo's opponents, I expect nobody that could pose a real threat for now but at least we didn't steep that low.

turki has respect for mma...he still sees them as legit fighters whereas he looks at Jake like a youtuber lol

Watched Crawford-Madrimov again..commentary was really terrible. Crawford won 8 rounds pretty comfortably. Madrimov did not do enough to warrant anything more than 5 rounds. I think people just wanted to shyt on Crawford but this fight just showed all the dimensions he possesses and why he's so difficult to beat.

it was either shyt on crawford, shyt on madrimov (because they knew nothing about him/never seen him fight), or both

that being said..crawford had to win the last 2 rounds in order to get that W

Agreed and I feel a lot of people are doing the same thing with the Benavidez Morrell fight
When ppl go into a fight not liking a particular fighter for whatever reason they going view everything in that fight through those lens
Will be interesting to see what happens if madrimov beats ortiz in their upcoming fight
