Same, opinion hasnt changedI felt Thurman won
Pacquiao dominated the first half of the fight. Thurman came on real strong towards the second half. But that body shot Pacquiao landed on him in the later rounds really sealed the deal IMO
I dont know about dominating the 1st half, def wasnt a clean sweep
honestly he is not at fault with this...if they are the goods they will shine...i mean look ray ford...most who saw his fight on here with edward vazquez thought he lost that shyt clear..but he learned and was able to improve...shyt this year, the man was in a 2 FOTY candidates and won a title in a highlight reel fashion...ray hasn't even had 20 fights yet...its the same template eddie is doing now with andy cruzI might be in the minority, but I don't think Eddie Hearn is that bad. I like his "sink or swim" philosophy when it comes to putting his fighters in big fights. Seems like people just hate him just to hate him because he's a promoter

same shyt with TR is doing with keyshawn davis and his matchmaking...keyshawn had a minor slip up in a very close win that turned into a NC because of the weed ever since then dude straightened up and just scored a career best victory on national TV and now is looking at a title shot in early 2025..he only has 12 fights
you dont know want more mfrs joey spencer do you? he was PBC's prospect of the year for whatever reason and was beating no one...when he faced the real PBC prospect of the year in jesus ramos in his first step up, he got beat like a fukking drum in front of a PPV audience...now he's fighting on undercards with salita because he has to rebuild
the shyt with jalil hackett and marc castro last night....its unfortunate...the people they lost weren't ppl that were seasoned contenders, vets, journeyman that you can say "oh fast eddie trying to get them beat"..hackett had a bad weight cut and it went wrong...marc never improved certain aspects of his game and it bit him in the ass...doesn't mean they can't improve and come back...eddie is doing what he's supposed to do cuz he understands theres only so many times you can do a jobber showcase and it doesn't hit anymore
Hearn is not all bad, he gets fights done, but he's also done some despicable things in the name of a dollar over morals, namely PED related bouts that are illegal as much as improper. Fancy knowing your A side fighter has given a positive sample and not telling the opponent and going ahead with the bout?I might be in the minority, but I don't think Eddie Hearn is that bad. Yeah, and the majority of the crowd seemed like it was Hitchins team and family from Brooklyn, thats how empty that stadium was.and that Paro/Hitchins fight had rows of empty ass ringside/floor seats. fukking high school cafeteria fights have more live viewers than some of these matchroom cards.

I won't knock Hurn for pushing fights in different markets, but that fight location was really unusual. Puerto Rico between an Australian and an American, tell me why this was the location again? Bizarre.

And I haven't even touched on the Connor Benn saga, to say it's shameful is putting it politely. He denied it happened, then when it got leaked he tried desperately to reschedule the bout in 4 different countries instead of cancelling. Benn should have owned up to taking substances that dont appear in your body, instead Matchroom went on a 6 month smear and bribery campaign, suggesting it was due to eating lots of eggs. And some morons ran with it too lol.
I understand your point. Just don't ever confuse any promoter with ethics, because they're at polar extremes. Large scale boxing promoters will always sell out their mother for the right cheque.Yup, don't disagree with anything you said. But my point is that is par for the course for being a Boxing promoter. When money is on the line, anything goes. From paying off judges, scamming to getting a large percentage on fighters' earnings, to ending fighters careers because they didn't sign with them, illegal ways to make weight, etc etc
Every single promoter does this. All I care about from a promoter is do they make the fights that fans want to see. All that other stuff is pearl clutching because Eddie Hearn is a recency bias topic of conversation
