There's a generation of fighters that feel like this about Mayweather. I would say from 84 to about 93. Mike has said the same thing about Floyd.
Roy and Mike...they are from the generation that saw Ali box on TV and was bigger than the sport....you won't be able to tell them anything about Ali thats anything less than "The Greatest" lol

Roy Jones is very dogmatic about whom he likes

There's a video out there of him telling Michael Jordan that he was at the basketball court and dude said Scottie Pippen was better than Michael Jordan, Roy said he had to leave because if he said that one more time, he was going to go to jail for beating him up. It's time stamped.

Tyson adores Ali as he started boxing because of him. Ali visited the juvenile facility he was locked up in and Tyson wanted to box after that and learned from Bobby Stewart before Stewart took him to Cus.

Tyson also knows how many great fighters there have been since he’s such a historian. He even posed with his hands on his hips after stopping :flabbynsick: because he wanted to pay homage to Battling Nelson from a fight in the 1900s

Took the words out of my mouth. Alot of people don't get it. It's not really about Mayweather not thinking Ali is the greatest, it's his absolute disrespect of the greats that came before him. Floyd unfortunately influenced alot of the younger generation to not respect the greats before them. Floyd taught these young fighters:

- To only fight 1 or 2 times a year
- Take an easier fight for more money, instead of a supposed "riskier fight"
- Protect your 0 at all costs
- Price yourself out of fights as an excuse to duck someone
- Act like Boxing pre-1985 are the "stone ages" and think they are less talented than a modern fighter

It's disgusting honestly. The sooner Floyd gets away from the sport of Boxing, the better

I might be in the minority, but I don't think Eddie Hearn is that bad. I like his "sink or swim" philosophy when it comes to putting his fighters in big fights. Seems like people just hate him just to hate him because he's a promoter

I grew up with promoters like Don King and Bob Arum being the spawn of Satan, and stealing money from fighters and cutting of their career if they didn't sign with them, etc. And I heard so much stories of managers stealing money from Rocky Marciano (which was part of the reason why he retired), Joe Louis, Sonny Liston, etc. And the Mob being heavy in the Boxing game pre-1970

From that perspective, Eddie Hearn is tame as hell lol
