I thought the Quartey fight was close in real time. Had he not gotten knocked down at the end I thought he had Oscar. Pernell fight was a literal robbery though. That was a fight that help set the standard for some of the b.s. judging we have today basically giving all the credit to the more aggressive fighter and not giving an ounce of credit for defense and efficiency.

Oscar literally did nothing for big stretches during the fight but at least Quartey was pumping the jab out piling up points. De La Hoya was credited for doing nothing most rounds

That feb 22 card might legit be the greatest card ever. even if Shakur puts out a boring effort the rest of them shyts look like fade fades

absolutely, it's probably the best card I've ever seen even without the Shakur/Kid Austin fight
It's kind of mind boggling to see Turki satisfy all the financial interests of the promoters and put together these kind of match ups after we've been brainwashed into thinking it was impossible the last 20-30 yrs
