This is exactly what it is. Anything else is just propaganda from the haymon stans. The only person who ever said they offered 55 mil was David's manager and he deleted that tweet after reynoso called bullshyt. That dude has been exposed many times for telling lies.

Not only that but David went and agreed to fight canelo's sparring partner who's managed by reynoso. When David Sr. Got asked about that he said he had no idea gvodyzk was managed by reynoso and he only got his information from Samson. These guys have no idea what's going on over there. PBC wanted canelo to accept 35 mil for David even though David was never agreed upon in the original contract. PBC not honoring the original contract purses is already agreed upon by all sources. That's not even up for debate.

Truthfully canelo even agreeing to 35 mil for Spence is wild. Cause that woulda been a massive fight. So that was actually a great deal for PBC. But It's not canelo's fault the charlos fukked up their rep and Spence turned out to be a hypejob. Those are the names PBC agreed to. And if they want to substitute a new name then canelo has every right to want to renegotiate the money. The David fight is worth more than 35 mil.

I saw that beni was essentially ready to give canelo a 90/10 split. Its a duck breh :yeshrug:

I believe he woulda done that. The issue is not with David. The issue was PBC not having the money to pay canelo the 55 mil he was reportedly being offered. That money was never on the table. They wanted canelo to accept the same deal he got for jermell.

PBC tried to pull a fast one. Prolly assumed if Spence lost they could just substitute in david at no extra cost and canelo would go along with it. But canelo is too business savvy for all that. PBC simply doesn't have the same funds after being dropped by showtime. And once again, that's their own fault. they prolly knew before they signed canelo that they had to leave showtime. They were negotiating in bad faith from the start. I'm sure they used canelo's name for leverage in their Amazon negotiations. And it's prolly gonna come back to bite em in the ass as well. The guys running PBC are out of touch with the new way of doing things. That's why they had to swallow their pride and go to streaming after swearing it off for years. They're not equipped for this new era of boxing. And that's why they're getting left behind.

Yupp. PBC is so unorganized, it's embarrassing. Why the hell would you even negotiate a 3 fight like that with Canelo, especially a fighter that is the cash cow and holds all the cards? I bet that PBC did this type of deal with Canelo because they knew Showtime was about to drop them and needed a multiple fight deal contract that they can sell to other networks when they switched over

That is probably why they made the Spence vs Crawford fight a 2 fight deal. Their plans seems like they wanted to premiere a Spence vs Crawford rematch on Amazon Prime, along with a Charlo vs Canelo fight... then assuming Spence wins they do a Canelo vs Spence supermatch on Amazon Prime as well.... The sensible thing as a promotional company was to make a 3 fight deal with Benevidez as the last fight on the contract. What they did was a horrible horrible gamble, and just dumb

This is what I theorized in my last post. If you do the math it makes sense. Cause if you remember, it was actually being reported that showtime would still air canelo's fights even after leaving boxing.

So when canelo signed to PBC, he negotiated for his fights to be on SHOWTIME. So Canelo probably already felt fukked over with PBC leaving to Amazon. Cause there's no way they had no idea. And canelo would have good reason to be pissed. if we're being real. A huge part of his deal was the ppv upside. He made that deal with showtime in mind. Now one fight into the contract they leave to a brand new network with no boxing history. That means a very high chance that those PPV numbers(and canelo's payday) are gonna take a huge hit.

Canelo had a right to be pissed just based on that alone. Now you're gonna tell him that you won't honor his guaranteed purse to fight the opponents you already agreed to. So now canelo has to take a lesser upside and a lesser guarantee because YOU fukked up?:what:..... this wasn't a single snake move on pbc's part. It was a string of snake moves. And it looks like they just snaked Amazon too :mjlol:....these dudes are finished.

I believe Reynoso when he said he was never sent an offer for Benavidez.. thay shyt Sampson is talking about is from that 2022 deal that Charlo fukked up.. and now Crawford saying he was never in any talks for the fight
