From David POV, I kinda get it. But that makes no sense for Martin. But the time the fight happens, he will be nearing a year removed from that struggle performance against Harutyunyan.

Martin is an athlete and seems like he is in shape year round. Him fighting again wouldnt be a bad suggestion but dude knocking in 30 and this is his realistic biggest pay day ever plus his chance at a belt where even if he loses he got his retirement money. Idk if there is anyone he could have fougjt to “work on” stuff for tank either, so staying in the gym for his best ROI it is what it is.
Tank starts slow anyways so them first rounds Frank will get to shake off ring rust. Like Shakur though Tank comes from different pedigree where Frank’s iq and tool bag simple womt be deep enough to out think the traps Tank sets. Everything you just posted is why Martin should have been active. Dude simply isn't on the same level of fighter as a Davis or Stevenson.

Frank started boxing at like 18-20 or something, shakur and Tank have a decade of experience over him. Frank is an amazing athlete that can follow directions if we being real, him getting this far is overperfoming if we being real. If Frank had the boxing pedigree of the others he would prob be a legit monster
Well... At the very least, it's an extra payday.
