Canelo did not fight in the aggressive coming forward behind a high guard style he does now when he fought Floyd. He tried to outbox Floyd. He’s not going to try to outbox Crawford. He also had less power at that 152 catchweight than he does at 168. He was not breaking faces and shyt back then.
Against Bivol, he certainly felt his power. He even said so. I will link below. Bivol can punch. He’s just a dude without another gear to get you outta there.
I’m sorry, but this is real life. This is not a Rocky movie or some shyt. This isn’t the olden days. Crawford is not Henry Armstrong. He’s not going to move up 21 pounds at 37 years old, fight a dude who would be by far the hardest puncher he’s faced, who is going to come to beat him up, in a weight he’s never fought at and foot feint his way to victory. He’s going to feel Canelo’s power, realize he can’t hurt him, and go into survival mode.
Crawford is a really good fighter, but that victory over Spence (a dude his team says he was prepping for years) got dudes talking/thinking CRAZY. Like, Crawford is the greatest fighter of all times or some shyt . Dude went from underrated to overrated after one fight. I don’t have to rehash the history. shyt is wild.
That fight would be 1000000% a waste of time. Canelo needs to fight David.
“He’s a really good fighter and he comes in and goes out,” Alvarez said. “I also felt his power. I have no excuses. It was his style, [not the weight]. You win and you lose in this sport. That’s what happens.”

Did Floyd Mayweather need power to stop Canelo from coming forward? Was his lack of ability to hurt Canelo prevent him from winning the fight?
When Bivol dominated Canelo, did he hurt him at all?
Alot of people for some reason have the wrong mindset when discussing elite boxers with elite footwork. And Crawford is in that category
