Cappinger :heh:

joshua is giving copp some credence about that

The former IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion didn’t deny, though, during a Zoom interview with a small group of reporters that a deal is in place for him to finally fight Deontay Wilder on March 9. ESPN.com’s Mike Coppinger reported Wednesday that representatives for Joshua and Wilder have reached an agreement on money for a March 9 showdown in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which is contingent on Joshua beating Wallin and Wilder defeating Joseph Parker on the same card December 23 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.

“In terms of finalized, I’m not too sure,” Joshua said. “I’m not too sure. I think for me, personally, I’ve got a great management team. And, you know, they’re always looking steps ahead. But for me as an athlete, I don’t know much about it. My main focus is purely on my opponent and Otto Wallin.”

Devin has the optics gaining on his side now.

Devin can say he undisputed, Went to 140 beat a Champ who is a KO artist ass in his first fight, and sold out the GSW arena, come to 140 or leave it.

Tank can lil homie everyone besides Devin and Teo at this rate as both have built resume's where Tank not being on it doesn't matter compared to say Ryan Garcia and maybe Shakur (Shakur is a multi weight champ but I'd argue Teo and Devins journey has been better received in the context of outside of hardcore circles).

If Tank isn't coming to 140 then imo he just needs to focus on retiring Loma and fighting Shakur.

Teo and Devin both kinda showed us sticking around at 135 hindered them so Tank adding stipulations wouldn't look good

Yeah, Devin got momentum off his last fight. Tank been doing well with his career in terms of popularity, but its time to get some of these guys out the paint. He has the talent and boxing skills. He needs to fight somebody noteworthy next.

People weren't too happy about Devin performance against Loma because it was too close....all he needed was a good performance back and look at him now. Tank moves in 2024 gonna be interesting.

People who post here and on twitter ain't feeling it but objectively speaking it's a ton of risk involved and money at stake putting Tank in a true 50/50 fight. His fanbase is made of so many casuals who stan him for superficial reasons I think his PPV viability falls off a cliff if he ever loses. Not to say PBC is the home of the hype jobs but after what happened to Wilder and Spence why would they risk Tank unless they absolutely have to. They thought they had one with Fury coming back from his issues and they stalled Bud out for damn near half a decade and it seems like they going try to maximize Tank earning potential for as long as possible. Especially with a new Prime deal coming

Idk. Hed have to starch haney imo as Tank already loses mad rounds to lesser comp. I could see devin winning a UD even with 2-3 kds in that fight if he got caught with something

I'm with you. I think the Haney we saw on Saturday night boxes his way to a 12 round decision win against Tank just based on output and workrrate.

during the Promo for the Ryan fight there is an interview where Tank says he putting Devin, Shakur, Loma, and I think Teo on notice that he is now at the stage of his career where he wants to knock all these dudes off for legacy purposes. He went to jail right after as we know so I assumed when he got out he would have done Issac cruz as a tune up so 2024 its nothing but the big fights, but then the PBC network switch happened so I assume that is why he was chilling after he got out. I still assume he will do Cruz early 24, but literally after he KOs Cruz he better say this was his tune up and it's time to knock off these other cats.

That said Tank is small and he himself said in the Barrios post fight that getting to 140 was hard as hell and he don't see himself doing it again, so I`m like at this rate he just needs to move on fro Devin, and if I`m Devin I`m not going down to 135 nore am I doing a rehydration clause.

If Devin didn't sell out the GSW arena I think he would still be flexible to meet Tanks demands but I think he feels confident he has his own lane now where he can exist and not be dependent on Tank for a real pay day thus he dropped all the 135 belts because it is no longer necessary to hold on to them to bait Tank or even Shakur especially after the shytty fight Shakur had.

If Devin Unifies 140 or dare I say Undisputed it, there goes to 147 and grab a belt, at that point Tank is a non factor imo

Yeah, i agree and Devin didn't used to talk this spicy about Tank when he was at 135. I think he has moved on from it to a certain point but would still take it. He himself said he don't really care about being undisputed at 140 and wants the money fights. We know what the big fights for him are. I think he wants that Ryan Garcia fight next for him and then another big fight in 2024.....If the numbers for them fight don't do great then he might just drain himself to get to 135 again.

Ryan is a Money fight
teo is Money and Legacy
147 one belt is legacy, unifying if icing on cake
Haney vs Benn at 147 in UK is money
154 or 160 Haney vs Boots is his chasing greatness moment to close his book imo (this assume Boots becomes as great as we think).

If he can do the above he will be seen as the best of his era and ATG
