Before the fight the Haneys were willing to go back down to 135 and now they have ruled it out, which is understandable since its hard for Devin to make that weight. I think they are Hyped from selling 16k seats and thats why they talking their shyt, but Tank is still the A-side..... Why on earth would Tank move up to 140 to give Devin more of an advantage, when Devin already has reach and height advantage? Now Bill is talking about no rehydration and no catchweight too...If the Haney's want the Tank fight they gotta fall under his demands not the other way round...thats just the reality of it
Tank is also feeling the pressure right now, which is good because it sounds like they were trying to make the Cruz fight again, which nobody wants. Tank need to get a noteworthy fighter for his next one.
I mean this be more applicable if
1.Tank already hadnt fought at 140
2.didnt also bring people up in weight to fight
As it stands now it looks like he ducking or making a 50 11 excuses to not fight someone he says is a bum
And 3. Devin wasn't at 135 for last 10 years

Silver lining in this is that I think he is being forced to take a good fight now. No one going to buy that Cruz rematch bullshyt

1. Tank one fight at 140 was against Mario Barrios and not a P4P fighter like Devin
2. When you are the A-side you can bring people up. Like Jermell just did by going up two divisions to fight Canelo....If Devin was the bigger star then he could demand Gervonta to come up.

I want to see that Devin vs Tank too....the issue is what i listed. If Tank can get Devin down in weight and do a rehydration clause....it would be a terrible move to not make that fight happen from Tank side. Its a big fight and hopefully it goes down in 2024.
Devin has the optics gaining on his side now.
Devin can say he undisputed, Went to 140 beat a Champ who is a KO artist ass in his first fight, and sold out the GSW arena, come to 140 or leave it.
Tank can lil homie everyone besides Devin and Teo at this rate as both have built resume's where Tank not being on it doesn't matter compared to say Ryan Garcia and maybe Shakur (Shakur is a multi weight champ but I'd argue Teo and Devins journey has been better received in the context of outside of hardcore circles).
If Tank isn't coming to 140 then imo he just needs to focus on retiring Loma and fighting Shakur.
Teo and Devin both kinda showed us sticking around at 135 hindered them so Tank adding stipulations wouldn't look good

Tank has to have the biggest discrepancy between talent/skills and resume today in boxing outside of some buzzed prospects.
