If he can't discourage Beterbiev he's not beating him to me. I believe that's what it's gonna take to beat him. Beterbiev puts so much pressure on fighters physically & mentally & he cuts the ring off well. It's almost as if fighters go into survival mode when they're in the ring. If Bivol was confident like you, I think the fight would've already been made lol

It's the opposite for me. Bob Arum has been the one running interference. He said some BS like "It's hard to make the fight and raise money for it, because both of them are Russian". Sounds like some unsure thoughts in the Beterbiev camp lol

I got Bivol beating Beterbiev

Yarde had him stanky leg on three occasions before rnd 5 in their recent fight. He's definitely beatable.

Problem is withstanding that sort of onslaught from Beterbiev for 12 rnds. Nobody has ever done it. Yarde went 9, Gvosysk 10, Koelling waived off in the 12th.

I wouldn't even go toe to toe with Beterbiev. If I were Bivol, just use your superior footwork and counterpunching ability. Play the matador. Anytime Beterbiev comes in, counter him and catch him off balance. Take it out of your mind that you have to hurt him to beat him

And I still don't he could do that for 12 rounds lol. Beterbiev makes you have to fight him at some point & that wears on fighters mentally & probably burns some out

Add to that, you fight Beterbiev and lose, that's basically a wrap on your career for the most part.
