the worst thing roy ever did was drop from heavyweight to light heavy at like 35-36i still dont understand how this happened
then Glen Johnson beats tarver on top of that
the wild thing it wasnt gradual...shyt was instant
roy was a ripped heavyweight coming back down to 175...and apparently just ran it off instead of using a conditioning guy to help him cut....it fukked up his body

he shoulda called it a day after the first tarver fight.
i believe even his trainer called him washed and said he shouldnt take da rematch.
Jones won da first tarver fight pretty clearly to me. Close fight for sure, but i dont see how anyone gives that fight for tarver. Every round had a clear winner

The work that Tarver put in on Roy while Roy was on the ropes was exceptional. But Roy clearly had command of the center of the ring.
I'm with you, I thought Roy was the clear winner because of that alone.

SMH. Damn. boxing bout to be without a home. Feels like espn will be doing the same soon. They already show boxing zero respect. HBO will never get back into the boxing game. Fox jumped ship a long time ago. dazn already in crazy debt. It's not looking good.
Kinda feel like Dana white is gonna make a move. In the past he was freezed out of the business. But with all the networks cutting ties it could cause desperation. And he’s been hinting lately that he’s still got plans in boxing. He could see this as his opportunity. UFC obviously got enough money to get the majority of pbc's roster. I think he's trying to create an all in one boxing umbrella like UFC.

Showtime is the last of the old guard regarding boxing on american television...it would be a gotdamn shame
HBO was the mainstream boxing..big fight everything but Showtime was the channel that had the real nikka fights and countless of forgotten classics
both of them gone from the boxing biz creates a huge hole to fill
for me at least i have no aversion to apps or anything of that nature but not all boxing needs to be on apps

The ROI on Boxing is terrible. I think post Canelo the days of 30-40m Pay days will be over for good.
UFC + WWE Merging I can see them swooping in and probably buying TR at discount because Disney is losing money and rather run ESPN as lean as possible unless they sell it to Apple.
I can also see Amazon maybe making a play for Prime, but still the huge per fight pay days imo will come to an end. I think we will see more long term contracts paired with endorsements. i.e Pay dude 15ms over X amount of years
