Shame? Canelo is #1 in the division and Benavidez is a mandatory challenger. Canelo should of been stripped last year before the Bivol fight.

If both have a good 2024 then you build some hype, but if Bud just wants a final cash out then he may as well gun for the canelo charlo winner. If Canelo wins they can do cinco de mayo, if Charlo wins the assumption is canelo gets a rematch next yr and then Bud would be in the clear.

So naturally charlo winning = bud needs a fight this yr which could be spence rematch but the money wont be the same but its prob his biggest figjt money wise since Boots wont generate it unless they use Thurman as “final person from that generation” for Bud to beat.

I admit I feel some pity for Benavidez for getting so close to the blockbuster fight only to finally lose and miss out on it:wow:
