I have to disagree both Sturm and Hopkins had an effective jab of their own and weren't shabby on the reach department, both could box too, and neither were midgets. Canelo with the height disadvantage
would have to get close to Oscar and might get stopped by Oscar's own body attack as he would BBQ your ribs with both hands. Canelo's defense is a bit overrated, head movement is good but his body is there all day, and he isnt fleet of foot enough to get away. Canelo's jab is non existent as well. He would have to be Floyd physically/skill wise at his height to mess with Oscar. I think Oscar trains better for Canelo as he looked fat against Sturm (took that L too imo).

As far as Hopkins, he was getting whooped until he landed the perfect body shot which would take out 90% of folks, probably would have folded Canelo too.

The thing is if you go to canelo's body he always counters you. Which is why most fighters don't. Abel Sanchez said the same when he got asked why little g didn't throw to canelo's body. Said cause that's when canelo is most dangerous and it's harder than it looks.

If Oscar goes to canelo's body he's gonna get hit. And I don't see him standing up to the body shots little g took. He'd be pissing and shytting blood for weeks. Would have to take a long break from the spatula's

Before he became shot Oscar was much faster with the trigger than GGG. Part of Canelo's success with GGG was due to GGG being slow handspeed wise, even then GGG was able to put hands on him.
