I always forget Haney is almost 2.5 years younger than Shakur. That’s pretty big when you’re in your early 20s. Always had Shakur as the fave in that fight (and still do), yet when you factor in the growth and that Haney can quantum leap at any time. That fight is probably a true 50/50.

That's actually one fight I'm almost sure Shakur would lose, no matter when they fight.

I’m getting more convinced that it will be a coin toss by the time they fight.
It will also be a gigantic commercial/mainstream fight. Bigger than Spence/Crawford by multiples.
Spence/Crawford for as great as they are in the ring have been in Floyd’s shadow (just out of timing). They both are also super private and not into getting the limelight.
Devin and Shakur are the complete opposite. You can just see it on social media (IG) as well with follower counts, celebrity engagements, what/how they post as well.

I need Shakur to show his defensive skills against someone with an above average jab before I can pick him as a favorite over Haney, cause the way I see it Haney does everything Shakur does, just as well, but he's also the naturally bigger guy. Not to mention Haney's jab is superb and the way Shakur likes to play defence(using his feet to slide out of the way of punches) works because he has a better jab than everyone he fights. He won't have that advantage against Haney.
Tank and Shakur is closer to a 50-50 fight imo. Haney would outpoint Shakur right now from what I've seen.
I think Shakur smokes Haney. Shakur IMO has always been ahead of Haney, from their spars on Youtube (they were both young but Shakur gave him the business the 2nd time around, it was "close" the first time, even though its a spar I know)
And it seems most fighters are more enamored with Shakurs skill over Haney's - I just don't see Haney as a better boxer at all...

I would take that bet EASY. What have you seen skill wise to think Shakur is hype and not skill, when fighters and trainers from all over are enamored with the kid?

I didn't say he isn't a good fighter, I said Shakur has had the benefit of a hype machine behind him his whole career, whereas Haney hasn't. Haney has been out here getting it out the mud bro. Had everyone ducking him from franchise belts to fighters not enforcing their mandatory status on him.
