They even said if you do it on Showtime and you win you can take the rematch exclusively on your platform. Why would the champ go to another network for less money, have to worry about getting a fare decision from the judges and commentators?

Promoter Frank Warren has booked October 22nd as the date for WBO 175-lb mandatory Anthony Yarde to challenge the winner of the June 18th unification fight between light heavyweight champions Artur Beterbiev and Joe Smith Jr.


Warren says the Beterbiev-Smith winner must face Yarde (22-2, 21 KOs) next on October 22nd or they’ll have to vacate the WBO if they choose to go in another direction towards facing WBA 175-lb champion Dmitry Bivol.

That's how it works. You not the one getting punched in the head . They should get what they deserve since 1 punch could change their lives. All these people complaining about big fights not getting made are going to stream them anyway. That's just the business. Castano had to fight on a Golden boy card to get the belt. Why shouldn't Mungia do the same?

There’s also nothing stopping them from keeping the order in place and simply moving the start of the negotiation period to after their next fights instead of just going “oh, maybe they’ll fight eventually.” It’s not like they ever adhere to their regulations unless it’s convenient for them; just look at how they let Jaime Munguia skip a final eliminator with Sergiy Derevyanchenko, skip a second one with Carlos Adames, and still remain in their top two at 160.

They won't even do eliminators with PBC fighters.

Tank is best off being a free agent imo. Neither TR, nor PBC or Matchroom hold as many chips on the table around 135 to make it worth being with exclusively either one of them.

All he has to do is to set up some small promotion where first he gonna be the only fighter, he's big enough that all the networks will want in on the action and then he will have a more or less free way to pick his own opponents, might have to settle for 2-3 fights deals like how Canelo does too sometimes but no problem with that.
It would definitely be better than being exclusive with XY and having XY tell him to fight all the in-house guys and not others.
He got big enough to have networks come to him probably, just has to take advantage of it.

And even if he ends up staying with PBC he should leave Mayweather Promotions. It's a relatively small promotion that only has him as a star, nobody else, their other talents are too young, so now it's their best interest to not risk Tank too much but his career will suffer if he lets them milk him too long and it seems he understands that too now.
