Dmitry Bivol beat Canelo for a few reasons. 72" arm reach, strong stiff jab, faster hands, much faster feet, solid defense, he knows how to position himself to minimize what is coming back at him, he is patient and fought his fight and didn't let Canelo dictate anything to him, he has good solid fundamentals, VOLUME PUNCHING, good power. Also it doesn't help that Canelo is so slow on his feet I don't even know if he could have cut the ring off on George Foreman.

After mentioning everything I just mentioned do you know another fighter who possesses all these qualities in spades and then some: Errol Spence Jr. If you want to say Canelo is bigger that is fine, but from STRICTLY A STYLISTIC STANDPOINT Spence is a matchup nightmare for Canelo, Spence attacks the body far more often than Bivol does. Like I said Canelo is the bigger guy so he should be favored due to size over Spence, but from a stylistic standpoint it is nowhere out the realm of possibility Spence couldn't do the exact same thing to Canelo.

Not only does Spence win, but it would look even worse than the Mayweather beat down Canelo got

I can't just say Spence would win because Canelo is used to fighting bigger guys, but I always found it odd Spence always was like 'Man I'll beat Canelo ass' or 'I'll jump up to 160 and fight Canelo.' and he always said it with a big ass kool aid smile on his face. Spence knows and understands boxing, he has a good understanding of it. He knows that's a winnable fight for him. If Canelo doesn't jab like he did against Bivol, Spence will give Canelo fits all night.

Well unfortunately Canelo doesn’t beleive in giving the fans what they want, so we will probably never see :francis:

Canelo didn't take $55 million to fight Spence..that about says it all.

Fans that actually care about Spence don't want him in the ring with Canelo for real.. only ones that do just want to satisfy some narritive

yall ever watch fights at dave and busters?

I have. I watched Spence vs Porter and Wilder vs fury 2 there. It's straight. They got a lot of TV's. Big screens too. Grab something to eat there and peep out the fights. Didn't have to pay nothing neither. Watched the Spence there with my lady and uncle and the Wilder one with my lady. Super underrated, would go there more but I fell back on them in public cause of covid but I might start going back.

And a lot of people don't be in there cause it be families with their kids so the closer it gets to fight time a lot of people be leaving or staying on the game section not the eating side where the TV's is

I love Spence workrate and stamina and his high guard is not bad. But canelo just too big for him. Spence was getting buzzed by Ugas. If canelo landed some of his shots on Spence uh no bueno for Spence. Spence would win majority of the rounds and then get caught late. It's weight classes for a reason. If Spence thinks he's jumping up 2-3 weight classes and gonna stay the same he's tripping. That extra weight probably would make him fade faster. Sparring bigger dudes with head gear ain't the same as a live fight with canelo hydrating like crazy on him. Canelo would weight bully him for sure.

Stylistically Spence would beat him if they was both in the same weight class naturally though.

The times I went they didn't. The Dave and Buster's is connected to a local mall here. This was back in late 19 and early 20. I went there and waited to get seated, ordered some food and watched the fights no charge.

It was a few people in there. You know in public it's a lot of casuals so people be saying funny stuff.

It's really dope to catch it at a movie theater too. You gotta pay for your ticket there though. I seen Floyd vs Mosley in a theater. Man when Floyd got caught by Shane in round 2 that whole theater went crazy. One of the illest live moments ever boxing wise I witnessed. Like everyone in there wanted Floyd head, I felt alone in there cause I was going for Floyd. Even my girl wanted Shane to clip him. Fun times. When Floyd took over I was popping major stuff in there everyone got quiet lol
