People mention Bivol and even Beterbiev as if these are just more euro cacs for Canelo to beat up.
Is it just me or are these really dangerous fights for Canelo :lupe:. Switching opponents of this magnitude but keeping that same date seems risky for Canelo

Bivol is bigger with better footwork plus he is in his prime..canelo punches harder than him and prolly more durable...this one is like 50-50 to me

Beterbiev is a harder puncher than Canelo but he is chinny..Beterbiev can be hurt and dropped but if you let him off the hook, he just walks right through you. that inactivity and his age though :smh:

I pray and pray he does the job..if it happens. If it does signed!???

Very dangerous, and for different reasons.

I believe Bivol's jab and movement is enough to give Canelo fits for a full 12 rounds. I will actually go out and say that Bivol loses a controversial decision there. I'd be incredibly impressed if Canelo wins that clean.

Beterbiev is a strong 175lber with a 100% KO percentage..... enough said.

Canelo did well to beat Kovalev, but Kovalev was bullying him too easily. Canelo is at a noticeable size disadvantage at 175.

I think everybody pretty much knows bivol and beterbiev aren't your typical Euro Cacs. These dudes obviously come from a family tree of straight up turmoil and pain. Both of em are essentially 50/50 fights but of course I'm gonna lean towards canelo cause of his experience and superior boxing ability. But one mistake can be enough to cost him dearly. Prolly the most dangerous matchups of his career. And the two toughest matchups available to him right now.

Surprised you thought kov bullied canelo. I seen it completely opposite. Canelo was walking him down and pummeling him with power shots while kov seemed nervous as hell to engage. And the end result showed why that was. Kov landed some decent shots but canelo was stalking him from the start and slowly broke him down with those body shots.

More so in the clinch. I was there in person, and it was very obvious that Kovalev barreling his shoulder into Canelo was not only bothering Nelo, but that Nelo was having a hard time really dealing with Kov's size and rough housing on the inside.

It's a little worrying, given that Andre Ward has said that Kovalev was one of the weaker guys he's faced, as far as physical strength goes. So I'm wondering how Canelo would fare against Bivol, and especially against Beterbiev.

Edit:

Also, @((ReFleXioN)) EteRNaL have you noticed the difference between Canelo and Reynoso's responses to the Beterbiev and Bivol fight? I've more often than not seen Canelo say (along the lines of) 175 is too much of a size disadvantage for him, while Reynoso is adamant about going up.:patrice:

Yea I noticed ........I think bivol's physical strength is prolly more on par with kovalev. He's a smaller light heavy. But he's long and can really put his punches together. But beterbiev is just all around massive:dame:.....He's built like a tank. Canelo will really have to walk a tight rope with him. But that's what makes these fights so intriguing. If canelo isn't on his A game he could get clipped. But he also has the power to hurt both of them as well. And they're not exactly defensive guru's.

But I did notice canelo saying he didn't feel as strong at 175. Or as fast. But he basically just follows whatever reynoso says. If Eddy told him he could beat Anthony Joshua, canelo would prolly fight him. It's possible that canelo could have felt something he didn't like in that kovalev fight though. He definitely wasn't throwing many combos. It was more just one punch at a time. Don't know if that style would work against beterbeiv. He's gonna have to be slick and quicker on his feet. I would rather see him take on Plant, Charlo, and Benavidez first. Even Andrade. Cause even if he beats bivol and beterbeiv what are the chances he doesn't take some serious damage. I still got canelo in those matchups but would rather him go a different route for now. Just hope Eddy knows what he's doing here.

Plant is going to be crushed when he sees Bivol getting a career high payday, while he goes on to lose to Benavidez for a fraction of Bivol's purse on showtime extreme.:umad:

Canelo been fighting on guaranteed purses, it's what being the biggest star in your respective sport gets you, friend.

Looks like Waddell & Reed finally cancelled Al's credit card, huh?

It's a shame, because Plant seems like a hell of a competitor; hell of a fighter.
