yup, can’t trip off of what Floyd said.

These fights are going to happen. I feel like a bunch of ridiculously big fights are just around the corner.

This is a golden age for boxing, enjoy it in the moment.

:usure:

Nah breh, it would be nice but it's not

There was some good progress in the last couple of years, more unifications and more undisputed champs but in the real golden age of boxing these things weren't even a thing cause there was just one champion and the best fighting the best was more the rule than the exception, they fought more times too and the biggest stars were both bigger commercially and probably better than current ones. Not want to diss the current ones, I like many of them and there are very good ones but it's not the same.

Obviously it's better to be a boxer today than any other time in boxing's history because they get paid well now, even the ones that are mistreated by their promoters rarely find themselves broke on the street after they cut them, so there's that, it's a positive thing but from a fan viewpoint still lacking compared to some other decades.

Canelo's Coach: Let's Get Plant Deal Done - Then I Like Charlo, Spence, Benavidez

“We're ready. Let's negotiate. We’re ready to fight Charlo, with whoever. I think it would be a great and interesting fight,” Reynoso told Little Giant Boxing.

“More than anything is to begin negotiations with Plant's people, with his promoter and come to an agreement,” said Reynoso. “An important fight and then see what's next. I like the Charlo fight, \[Errol\] Spence if he moves up \[from 147\], \[David\] Benavidez also.”

“It was a very good fight,” said Reynoso. “I have known Montiel since he started his career and I've always thought he was a great fighter. He needed a little more to win the fight. But I think he's at the level where he can become a world champion.”
That Spence fight :unimpressed:

they will sell it to a lot of casuals who don't know a thing about weight classes I get it...

but from where I stand, no thanks, Spence has zero chance against Canelo. His only chance is literally Canelo killing himself trying to make weight. And in that case why would I care?

the Spence fight will come at the very end of Canelo career

kinda like Floyd - ODLH
AJ - Klit
Andre Ward - Kov

that final Superfight to end legacy

Spence will tire Canelo out and pull away 2nd half of the fight. Canelo won't rush to that fight...Spence shouldn't do it unless it's $25 million on his side since Canelo will likely get his usual $35 million. The Spence fight is the biggest fight Canelo can make though.

That Colbert fighthype video was a bad look. In fact, it’s always a bad look bashing a fighter that you’ll never fight. It should be like an unwritten rule. You have to be a Wilder hater to think that is cool.

Now if it was another fellow heavyweight? I don’t see the problem with it.

Spence is older then Canelo

You provided like passing of the torch examples, with the exception of ward/kov.

Pac/Spence fits the scenario, not Canelo/Spence

If Canelo truly plans on fighting until 37, that super fight you’re referring to would probably be against some young fighter that has emerged.
