I don't mind the fight at all. I was just more surprised that it might actually happen.
I really don't care to see Ugas boring ass fight anybody but maybe Ennis (cuz that's like a guaranteed fade) so I'm good on him ever fighting Thurman.
same...vitali did stop some really difficult guys in his career
or maybe its an ego thing since byrd was arguably making vitali foolish in their fight while wlad beat the crap out of byrd twice lol
If you look at the fights. Vitali did a lot of punching at Byrd, while Wlad was punching right through him and just rattling his core with shots.
Wlad also turns his punches over more than Vitali does. Vitali gets KO's from just beating you the fukk down, while Wlad punches sharper and scores more clean KO's .
Vitali rarely gassed either, so the punishment would just keep increasing until you couldn't take any more. Wlad was more reserved with the output, really making each punch count.
If you were strong enough or had some power, Wlad is the easier fight because of his chin, stamina, and tentativeness , but those same attributes won't make much a difference against Vitali. You either have to have just as much firepower (Lewis) or have a bad style for him (Byrd)
For example, Arreola had a better shot at Wlad imo, but he got the Vitali fight instead which was worse for him stylistically.
i can respect this since youre far from a PBC fanboy who only has knowledge of and watches maybe 3 divisions
welterweight division has been so trash for so long that i want to see fresher matchups...esp from those 2
yes ugas needs to come up off that belt...nikka cant be going life and death with thomas dulorme and have me think he doesnt need a test from someone considered a top welter...so i would welcome a thurman fight
