I originally thought Harrison was giving Charlo blues, until I rewatched it and realized Harrison wasn't actually doing very much. All that dancing and showboating he was doing, but he was getting out worked and Charlo was landing the bigger shots.
I just watched the second half of the fight. Charlo's shots were mostly being blocked. Mel didn't keep a consistent pace from rds. 6-9, 10 is when he picked up a second wind, with his punches looking a lot sharper and stronger, but Harrison was in there exchanging still.
It was a close fight, especially with the early knock down. Don't know that I'll ever see Charlo up 96-93 after 10. Felt that way when I was in the building, feel that way now. Nevertheless, both fighters needed to make a statement in the championship rounds, which is what Charlo did.
I still don't think beating Harrison and Rosario actually shows P4P pedigree.
He's on his way, but throwing him top 5 seems premature.
Edit: Interestingly enough, Harrison is on the latest episode of Mannix's boxing podcast, and he says that he thinks cutting weight played a big part in his fatigue in the later rounds. Admits that he doesn't always stay as disciplined as he could during his training camps.
