I will say this though, where is the frustration for what is happening at 130 like there is at 147? People keep saying that Valdez-Herring is a good fight to make, and praise Herring for knocking out Frampton, yet shytted on Tank for KOing LSC. The fight to make right now 130 is Tank-Valdez, not no damn Valdez-Herring. Herring needs to gone ahead and job to Shakur so we can get the real best fight at 130 which is Tank-Shakur, but aint none of the other champs there seeming to be real eager to fight Tank though and there is no logical reason why. He is the only proven money maker in that weight class. Valdez-Herring is some Spence-Ugas high level mid grade borderlining on being trash ass fight, yet there isn't a lot of smoke for them. Wonder why? :jbhmm:
130 hasn't had a UNIFIED champiom since Marco Antonio Barrera in 2005, over 15 years since a unified champion, that division is a clown show.

130 is a shytshow regarding the unifications..but 130 delivered some ridiculous fights in the ring.....130 was prolly a top 3 division at one time...salido/miura/vargas/martinez etc were tearing each other apart when i was complaining about stagnant 147 and 154 were lol..now its a rebuilding division cuz nikkas got worn down or finished from wars..147 is not a rebuilding division like that

It's super terrible because there id a legit star in the division(Tank) and Valdez wants to fight Herring. :dead:

Shakur is the mandatory for both Valdez-Herring belts. I wonder who gonna pick up the vacant IBF strap there.

I'm just saying there's no smoke for 130, like there is 147 and Tank is on the outside looking in just like Crawford, and his position is even worse than the one Crawford is in because he is legitimately a bigger star than Valdez, Herring, or Stevenson put together and they not trying to fight him. They can't even use the money excuse for him. :heh:

is it? Like how big you really expect Boots to get casual sports fan wise in 2 years? He has all the tools but really NO following. Im projecting but in 2023 i can assure that we gonna :mjlol: if we see them headlining a $69.99 ppv
the only way their profile gets bigger is if one or both of them happen to get legit titles in the next 2 years else make the fight now

if that card does pop off then the charlo-castano fight needs to be the closer - thats the undisputed fight..easily greater than spence vs ugas..now if it was spence vs crawford or spence vs pacquiao then yeah put that shyt in the main event..ugas nah

I don't think you should compare this to regular boxing, it's a different beast for a different target group. Normal boxing is an outlier here, honestly don't even know why they wanted Lopez vs Kambosos so bad when their profile is built on white collar fights between celebrities, legends doing exhibitions and such in their 50s and other freak show like fights meant to casual fans and people who are interested in a spectacle like that.
I don't view them as the rivals of the big 3 (DAZN, PBC, ESPN) on a grand scale but rather something of a parallel universe that focuses on other things so I didn't even expect it to be anything different.

The freak show fight fad been around for a long time in combat sports, it gets trendy somtetimes then ppl get bored of it and the fad dies, it's not for long term building imo. It got trendy now but who's to say if the trend won't die a year or 2 later, it probably will at a point.

I know where you’re coming from, yet when you have a young up and coming star who just unified against a P4P talent and you’re showing him less than a youtube celeb along with old timers from boxing and mma while at the same time have a voice like Snoop saying they’re bringing “boxing back”...that line has already been crossed!

Yes, we as boxing fans know better, yet the casuals (that we are relying on to become boxing fans so the sport can grow)...Do not! When you mix a high level guy like Teo into this it makes the sport look like a joke. Would NBA players ever take a backseat to celebrities for an actual game and get less attention if they were promoted together? For Teofimo Lopez this is not an exhibition, he is one of the top young stars fighting an actual fight.

Teo went from being on Sportscenter, ESPN and all their platforms with over 100m followers combined....to being a sideshow to 50 year old MMA guys and youtube stars on an app. They got 4 million views for that Teo/Loma fight on ESPN platforms, just pure boxing, no side show garbage.

Now he is second fiddle in a commercial to Paul, 50 year old Chuck, 50 year old Evander, 50 year old ODLH, Snoop, and a bunch of musical acts.

Not to mention you have Prograis/Ivan, Lorenzo Simpson, Quickdraw McGraw on the undercard, you think those guys will get any attention if Teofimo is promoted like a throwaway? No chance! If actual top level talent wasn’t involved it wouldn’t matter and I really could care less...yet that is not the case.

This is a step backwards for the sport, no other way around it and no way to sugar coat this, sorry.

Boots is a guy who is 100% focused on boxing and boxing only. You can tell he isn’t about all that extra stuff outside the ring. For guys that are just into the sport and have a “boring” personality, it takes notable wins to start building a following. He will get there.

That division is garbage juice with the match making without the names to care about like 147

Great fighters and there's been some great fights, but the lack of urgency to unify any of the belts is baffling. Herring and Berchelt were in-house and Berchelt swerved him, and folks gave him a pass for that sucker shyt

oh i didnt give him a pass..i agree with that..berchelt talking about he was good after seeing herring win that title was some BS..berchelt changed his fight trajectory to go war with valdez...and he got his karma :pachaha:
