As much as I like Bud as a boxer he stays acting like an idiot on social media. Spence and him deserve each other tbh, neither really pushing for that fight, both have too big egos to make a deal. And this shyt about Canelo "being afraid of black fighters" is something only someone with a low IQ or a delusional mind could believe. Mosley, Trout, Floyd, Lara, Jacobs... but yeah alright he's afraid of them cause he hasn't fought 2 of them yet. Tomorrow some Mexican fighter gonna come out he's afraid of Mexicans cause he hasn't fought Benavidez yet?

And then there's the stereotypes about skin color and styles. I guess he's thinking of the slick boxer/boxer-puncher style that's commonly associated with black Americans but Charlo and Andrade don't even fight alike, only Andrade fits that mould between the two, Charlo has a quite different style imo.

Where I do agree is that I think Charlo and Andrade would be harder challengers to Canelo than BJS and Plant will be or Benavidez when they fight.
Andrade, Charlo and a 168 pound Bivol are Canelo's biggest challenges imo.

Oh and the from Coppinger is weird, he's a journalist, he shouldn't get so involved personally. And yes, Canelo's 10th best win being better than Bud's best is easily a hyperbole even though that's not the point and I get what he's saying.

But the same could be said for Crawford.....he's in a division where literally his top 3 foes are black and he hasn't fought any of em. The best black fighters he fought were Julius Indongo and Hank lundy.......Crawford just sounds upset that everybody bumped him from the number 1 spot. But that's what happens when your resume is weak

But here's the thing.. This isn't a situation where Bud is ducking anybody... one of the black fighters you probably referring to is literally his mandatory.. The only way that fight dont happen is if Porter ducks.. Got another nikka who used to rock a ponytail coming off a loss who aint fought in 2 years talking bout $10m to fight Bud.. Another nikka saying he need every belt at welterweight before he willing to fight Crawford.. this the division Crawford in right now.. He aint in a position like Canelo where he got 3 whole divisions to pick in chose from where literally nobody from these divisions will fight each other cause they waiting to be picked and chosen by Canelo like some groupie thots trying to get backstage at a Chris Brown concert

20-30 yrs down the line looking back in retrospect can def see this "era" looking dry as hell. even tho manny floyd took hella long to marinate their era still had more excitement and displays of pure dominance from both as they elevated the division and sport to new heights. for this era to take the mantle and fumble it to the point the new cash cow brags about 250k buys

Kirkland - past it and no Wolfe
Jacobs - competitive/ clear win but Jacobs took like 5 rds in the 2nd half
Trout - competitive/damn near a draw since Canelo barely did fukk all in the 2nd half
Lara - competitive/ could have gone either way...I had Canelo winning clear, but Lara still took like 5 rds from dude. Hell, at least the 1st 4.
Floyd - fukking loss

Those are the 6 black boxers of note that Canelo has faced. Its easy to see why Bud said what he said. The only black fighters Canelo has dominated were past it. Dude struggles or barely beats nikkas when they in their prime.

Saying Canelo struggles with black fighters is a fukking fact when you look at the fights objectively.

at the end of the day, its just coming from the wrong person cuz we been waiting for Bud to step it up since Canelo beat Trout.
