this is another thing i hate when floyd or pacquiao fights...ppl who only want to see the main event...there's 3 other fights on the card...fairly good fights too...nikkas dont pay 70 bucks just for a main event.....hell half the time the undercard fights are better than the main event...i won't be surprised if one of tonight's 3 undercard fights is better than the main event

I enjoy watching Ponce De Leon and Mares so this should be a good one.

this is another thing i hate when floyd or pacquiao fights...ppl who only want to see the main event...there's 3 other fights on the card...fairly good fights too...nikkas dont pay 70 bucks just for a main event.....hell half the time the undercard fights are better than the main event...i won't be surprised if one of tonight's 3 undercard fights is better than the main event

yeah they do. the average fan pays exactly for that reason because they could care less about the undercards. (the average person watching this fight dont even know who Mares is, much less the other fighters) I dont blame them either. its not that the fights wont be good...its that who gives a fukk about the fighters? The Dirrell fight last night is probably better than what this main event will be. We are talking action. As an avid fan, i took a hiatus not because of action but because of intrigue.

we still cant help but feel cheated by paying for a main event like this and average undercard fights. the value just isnt there. us here at Coli will buy and watch the card but a lot of PPV buys coming from Hooters and sportsbars, Barbershops, etc. We used to use big fights like this as excuse to have stripper parties.

My point is. Mayweather is too big for regular Sho/HBO, but Guerrero isnt. This is PPV because of one name and one name only. Mayweather. Nobody paying a dime to see anybody else. You couldnt sell the rest of that card on its own PPV for $30. Also, fights like Peterson/Matthysse or Devon Alexander fights should be on PPV cards like this, but they dont have to give them to us...they can just pass them off as main events for TV cards.

People wonder why UFC had a meteoric rise and boxing has become less palatable for the average fan unless a name like Mayweather/DLH/Tyson is involved. In the UFC you dont get all the phoney champions and you get more of the best fighting the best. If UFC is having PPVs every month why not the Sweet Science? Its because all the joke promoters, advisors and managers with too much influence, networks, and sanctioning bodies trying to con the average fight fan into thinking they are getting something they are not.

as I said, I am ordering so I can chat with Coli fam and try and get back into loving boxing again....its hard with a fight like this though when I know Guerrero has slim chances.

"There's a lot of names, man. It sucks that most of them are with Top Rank. Guys like Mikey Garcia, Orlando Salido, and of course Nonito Donaire. They would all be good fights for me. But there is one guy Golden Boy has that they are hyping up, Gary Russell. They are looking at the winner of this fight, so it might be him. I'm not here to take any easy fights. If Golden Boy comes to me and says on May 4th you had a tough fight, so let's take an easy fight next, I'm gonna say no bring on the next guy. I want to please the crowd and make my money."

i can see that but there's always that argument of ppl saying there who is there in boxing when they're not giving any other fighters a chance to see what they're about
