Bruh this statement would have hit if you used a legit terrible division in your example like 147 or 168...140 is a poppin division like 154 is..CW has cooled off and in a state of rebuild..no one says it poppin now...mell goes up to 160 to do what exactly? Be some interim champion? Fighting GGG means you go to DAZN to do that. I have skepticism that happens lol. PBC at middleweight is weak and it will remain weak unless PBC 154 contingent also moves up. Mell has a great thing going at 154 now.

Hurd falling off and never really rebounding really put a dent in the division. He was supposed to be the marquee name for Mell at that weight. The Harrison robbery allowed Tony to talk shyt for a whole year to build his name up like he was a marquee dude in the division, but we all knew he was just a former Hurd victim that won the lottery.

PBC just runs too slow sometimes. Hurd should have already been looking good by now and calling out Mell for a shot. Instead he has even more time to rest in obscurity since Castano n Texiara gotta fight.

Mell is better off staying at 154 and being that dude while everything continues to fall in place.

When asked if Wilder has a jab, Breland answered: “No.

“He used the jab one time in that fight with Bermane Stiverne. That was it.”

Regarding Wilder’s training, Breland remarkably revealed: “No, he never hit the bag. He don’t hit the speed bag.

“He don’t jump rope, he don’t hit the speed bag and he don’t hit the heavy bag.”

I mean is Jermell just gonna stay at 154 if he can become undisputed? It would only make sense unify with the winner of Teixeira/Castano and then move up. Only problem is the only name he can fight at 160 that would get him that exposure would be GGG and I doubt GGG would fight him.

Got damn :pachaha: I can believe it tho.

I been saying for years that this nikka Wilder don't be training. There's more random footage of him twerking in the gym then you have of him working on equipment and drills etc...

I gotta listen to this interview because I know half the shyt I hear won't even be surprising.

Mell could fight all the welters that will eventually move up. Plus guys like Conwell and Fundora are only a handful of fights away from calling him out.
154 is a faster more dangerous division than 160. 160 just top heavy and only a few of the top fight each other. Mell will be fine. He doesn't need a GGG fight.

Mall is who you should be worried about. If GGG/Munguia and Andrade/Williams happens, he shyt outta luck for good opponents, unless he target Toyota. Eubank Jr won't move the needle. Even if Mall were to move up to 168, Mell should still stay at 154 because moving up to 160 he'll just be replacing his brother and will have the same weak options.

The reason why I think he should move up is because the common knock on a lot of fighters is that they have only done it in one weight class(this is common for Spence and Mell detractors) even though they both have a lot of quality wins inside that one weight class and have both nearly cleaned their respective divisions out. I think Mell should move up to 160 if he unifies 154 and pick up a belt so that stupid argument that he has only been at one weight class can stop. Besides Conwell, Fundora, and Tszyu are Spence problems if you get what I'm saying.

Side note: I hate that jumping weight never unifying bullshyt. Clean out your division and THEN move up don't beat 1 champion, fight a bunch of mandos and then move up you gotta unify in my book. It's getting better now a days, but it used to be horrible with that shyt. A figther shouldn't be moving up 5 and 6 weight classes and shyt to me, that just tells me that the weights you fought at in the middle of it all is probably where you should have started at.
