168 just like 135 and 147...is one big mess

To be fair, 135 been moving and shaking..it only feels stagnant now after Ryan and Teo got big wins. Its like the cards got shuffled again, but nobody really wants to deal.

but 147 been a mess, but not as bad as 168. Only 3 meaningful fights happened at that weight in recent times.. (Smith vs Canelo and Groves, and Plant vs UZI) that's even bad for welterweight standards

Any division that has any potential for megafights always ends up disappointing the fans. Then they wonder why boxing is in the state it's in.
The state of the sport. Imagine the heavyweight div of the 90s was as stacked as it was but the guys weren't fighting each other. We'd probably have no holyfield bowe. And even back then boxing had issues with matchmaking

because only one of the gotdamn champions entered it and it was a non champion that had the most buzz in the tournament

and the non champion got his head boxed off badly by the champion

its also the tournament where that particular non champion beat the breaks off another fighter who will be facing canelo next month where canelo stans think that fight shouldn't be criticized for what it is :heh:

what a mess :hhh:

Holyfield was a true warrior though. He fought every top CW and HW of his era in their prime. He was the hero boxing needed, but didn't appreciate when we had him. :mjcry:
