Postol is a good barometer for this two

Postol gave Taylor fits for a good part of the fight; Taylor made an adjustment late in the fight and dropped him...official scores were a little wide but Taylor won
Postol arguably beat Ramirez in a lot of ppls eyes...i think the delays and prolly extended training camps messed things up for him..bad time to have a bad performance lol

Crawford had very little trouble in beating Postol though :pachaha:
Yes, without the intention of starting another 10+ pages argument about Bud's resume I always thought Postol is an underrated guy in general. He beat Matthysse the best anybody did before Pac and even years after his prime he made it plenty competitive for Taylor and gave hell to Ramirez while Crawford schooled him after like 2-3 feel out rounds.

I'm looking at it a little different than how y'all are looking at it. Yes Postol is the common opponent and look at how Postol approached fighting both of them. Postol was willing to get in there and trade and bang with Taylor, he sat back and boxed a smart gameplan against Ramirez, why? Because he knew Ramirez could legit stop him if he just started taking punishment, and the way Taylor was getting backed down by Prograis I don't see why a bigger stronger and actual through and through pressure fighter wouldn't be able to do the same to Taylor.

I'm not saying Ramirez gonna win for sure it's 50-50 in my book, but their fights with a common opponent don't actually tell me much because Postol fought them in a different manner.

And yes Crawford pulled a Floyd on Canelo on Postol, but Crawford is all wrong for someone like Postol who doesn't use the ring very much.

I also don't think people are putting enough respect on Ramirez's win over Hooker. Say whatever you want about Hooker, he had just took 4 0's in a row and hadn't ever been beaten let alone stopped. Taylor was going life and death with Prograis and in the late rounds was flat out getting beaten up, and I still feel like Prograis should of gotten the nod in that fight.

Didn't Pac and his team go in on Floyd for making 'circus' fights as a retired fighter? Now Pac wants to do it as an active champion? It must be nice to not be black and never have to be held to ridiculously high standards and have a whole different set of watered down rules. :wow:
"But his last fight was against the young lion Keith Thurman" :mjtf: (is what Manny stans love to say)
