This could be a Canelo vs. Floyd type fight. If Garcia loses against Manny, he can still go on to beat everybody else. Thats IF he loses...

In theory, yes, but while Floyd was smaller than Canelo and Canelo (even though he was still green) was still in a more developed phase in his career than Ryan Garcia now. The danger Floyd presented was mostly outboxing you at 147, Pac might very well KTFO Garcia.
Career wise this is not smart, just a quick money grab. People in the boxing industry never fail to choose short money over long term investment.

Manny has like 1 KO the last decade and that was a shot Matthysse. Still a risk, but it would take a major injury or career altering type beating for it to be a bad career move. I give Reynoso the benefit of the doubt that they'll to come into the bout with a contingency plan in case Garcia is overwhelmed or at the very least throw in the towel in time if it's looking spooky

Reynoso is good but he ain't Superman either, not all his fighters have good defense, it depends on how you are wired in too not just the coaching.
Garcia's defense still lacking, if Campbell could floor him like that so can Pacquiao. Yes, Pac seldom score a stoppage in recent years but he also hasn't fought lightweights. He knocked down a top 5 147er last time he fought, if he hasn't got old overnight he should KO Ryan.

technically it's defense but i'm thinking more of the mikey garcia/loma downloading plan if shyt is too much for him in there. just get on his bike all fight. still could get knocked out but i could see a scenario where garcia doesn't engage too much and survives.
