And both suffered their first career losses (obviously at different times) and in Canelos Case has become an exponentially better fighter and in the short sample Size from AJ, he’s looking like he’s worked on his deficiencies and is a clear threat to Tyson Fury. 2 of the biggest names in the sport continuously improving things they have to work on... it’s such a beautiful thingI still think Canelo and AJ careers got built the way you're suppose to build em resume wise. Didn't rush em and fought tough ups on the way up to get em battle tested. I use them aa examples because they were identified as future stars early and they were build as such to perfection
Hard one
El TerribleBrehs who had the better career between morales, barrera and marquez?
Yup. I'm leaning towards El Terrible
He was a bad dude & he beat Pacquiao clean without any "controversy"
Morales all day.
I always felt he was the true fighter's fighter outta the bunch and was able to compete with the elite threats a lot longer than everybody else. MAB wasn't effective moving up and JMM for the most part was only effective against Pac. Morales was giving dudes like Swift n Chino problems. Beat Cano too, back before he was giving everyone tough fights.
Plus Morales was also competitive against a wide variety of styles. MAB and JMM not so much. Soon as you get some nikkas using the ring JMM gets stuck.
I recently came across that fight again. What an absolute stinker. I had heard from older heads HBO was really trying to push JMM before that.3 of them had crazy highs and lows
too bad a marquez vs morales fight never happened
barrera was the only one ko'ed in his prime
morales slid fast after his best career victory but at least he had a last great fight
marquez was never ko'ed but he has the losses of ppl he shouldnt have lost too (norwood, chris john)
so many different things etc etc

And this bytch cried robbery
Matter fact that doesn't get talked about enough. Marquez cried like a bytch after damn near all his losses. People gave him a pass with the Pacquiao shyt simple because they wasn't fukking with Manny (Floyd bias) but I wonder how many of them knew that this was JMM's MO
Dude even cried like a bytch after the Bradley fight, claiming robbery in a fight he clearly lost
I wish he would have fought MAB and Morales when they were younger, so both guys could beat that shyt outta Marquez. fukk him
Morales all day.

Yep. I believe I scored it in a super close decision for Marquez. But that was an older MAB with a metal plate in his head. MAB from 2000 would have knocked his head off cleanMarquez got damn near KO'ed by MAB from a horrible no knockdown call. He arguably lost that fight
ill never understand how dude gives pac a decisive defeat then goes and gets handled by zahir raheem..spoiler extraordinaire
but david diaz putting his foot in his ass was worse than that
