Also LSC is about to leave 126, his next fight is at 130.
For my money Fury is the best at HW right now, idk how long cause it seems more and more by the day that he gives a fukk about boxing now

Beterbiev is no PBC fighter, he's with Top Rank, he isn't even featured on the PBC site anymore.

Only division where I can confidently say a PBC fighter is the best is 154 cause I see no way Munguia beating all Harrison, Charlo, J Rock, Hurd, he might not even beat a single one of them.

And the only 2 divisions I can confidently say they control are 147 and 154.

This FOX VP just got so used to the UFC controlling the MMA market (a 25-30 years old sport) that he thinks PBC can do the same with boxing even though they are very far from it.
In skill for sure but his last big victory was 5 years ago. So even though he prob should have gotten the nod over wilder things are passing him by. If Ruiz beats aj again he probably would be number 1 for sure

your stars are but dust on my shoes
The exec might be going a bit overboard, but his optimism surrounding the PBC should elate boxing fans.

For one, it means that Fox execs are happy with the product, and are also invested in the growth of the PBC. From what I've gathered, it sounds like PBC cards are drawing fairly well for the network while not costing them too much money, which means we can expect to continue to see boxing on a national, mainstream platform.:blessed:

Secondly, the PBC-Fox partnership has begun to produce actual stars for the brand. Fox is now seeing that they can turn the PBC talent into well known athletes that draw ratings. If Fox continues to get behind boxing, could we see the sports return to national prominence, and the PBC become an acronym as relevant as MLB NFL or NBA? If that day ever comes, just imagine how lucrative the fight game would be, especially for the superstars of the sport.

As far as PBC not holding a monopoly, it's true, they don't have all the fighters. However, if the Fox PBC partnership continues to flourish, shouldn't we expect fighters have increasing incentives to go to PBC?

In any case, these promoters and streaming services are duking it out for supremacy. Whoever can elevate the sport's relevance will reap the most money in the long run.

I agree with dudes need to start bringing them receipts but he won and dominated every round :manny: .The kids 20 years old :deadmanny:, he ain't no where near his prime yet lol. Let's leave a legend like floyd out of this discussion

If u talking Floyd Castillo 2 he ain't dominate every round till the last 3 that he swept up.I swear people act like Floyd completely dismantled opponents or it wasn't even competitive(Manny fight). Truth be told he got bood out the arena in his own home town

  • The Associated Press reported:
Mayweather refused to mix it up Saturday night with Jose Luis Castillo, a strategy that allowed him to keep his WBC lightweight title but drew boos from fans wanting some more action. Mayweather did just enough to win, using his jab and right leads to keep Castillo off balance and moving quickly away when the Mexican challenger tried to turn the fight into a slugging match. There were no knockdowns and no notable exchanges in the fight. [1]

"I told you it would be easy this time. My plan was to box more, no power shots, be smart." - Floyd Mayweather Jr.

im surprised ward actually played football...but then like i said boxing and football go hand in hand..they are both sports for live/real nikkas :myman:

a B student though...

It's quite a few who balled. Hank Lundy got a football scholarship but declined when he found his aunt couldn't afford to send both him and his sis to college.

Wilder also played football along with basketball. He an Alabama guy so no surprise

I was talking haney and the guy he fought last weekend. But yeah people have a bit revisionist history on all floyd fights, not sure why we're comparing him at 25 to someone at the age of 20 anyway
