As a boxing fan I get it, from a mainstream perspective though, dazn is a backwards move right now...no one is tuning in, and their social media feeds don’t get any buzz either which is supposed to be their strong point.
The way the game is set up now, these young cats getting these DAZN big money deals, could easily hire and film their own promo and get their own marketing team to help boost their profile. I wouldn't wait for DAZN/Matchroom etc... to do anything if I have the funds and connects to do it myself. Yeah I know its extra work on the fighter, but its not like these nikkas fighting 3 and 4 times a year. They just gotta delegate the work.

The thing is...DAZN is supposed to be owning the youtube, twitter and IG world.
For a streaming service, they don’t put in 1/4th of the effort online when it comes to marketing fighters and fights. PBC and Top Rank are miles ahead with the online world, and they are on t.v!

No, this is what DAZN and Matchroom should be doing, Matchroom just doesn’t know how to do it with DAZN yet as they rely on sky sports in the UK. Look at how their UK fighters are promoted through the sky youtube and sky affiliates, massive difference.
There’s a big difference between having a machine behind you vs doing it on your own (Farmer had to make his own youtube channel, but how many views is he getting?)
Imagine having the machine behind you, and then doing your own promo as well.

A lot of these cats just wanna box and think of nothing else. That's cool, but then don't complain when your brand isn't where it's supposed to be at.
Every boxer isn't going to be blessed with a machine behind them. Besides, when some boxers do get the machine behind them, fans get upset because they'll feel that the boxer is getting over hyped and start saying they overrated. We seen that happen already with Jermaine Taylor and GGG and how HBO backed them during their runs.
Avoid all that and just invest in yourself and do your thing. Maybe it'll make whoever you're signed to catch on and start throwing some promo your way.
