Errol really the Peoples Champ don’t know how anyone could hate on em. He could barely get out the venue but he still stopped for every fan.

A different Welterweight jetted outta there!

You mean Bud?
I can give a fukk he jetted out :unimpressed:
Spence was at home in Texas and the peoples champ stuff never had an appeal to me

I fukk w Spence though but not beacuse any of that but because his fighting ability.
I'd root to Bud against him but that's only cause Crawford is like my favorite fighter if there's one. :yeshrug:

Jose Luis Castillo's Son Hospitalized After Sparring Session

By Miguel Rivera

Christian Castillo, son of former world lightweight champion, Jose Luis Castillo, is hospitalized in Tijuana, Baja California, fighting for his life, after suffering a brain injury a few days ago after a sparring session while he was getting ready to go up to the ring this past Friday in the border city.

“Our prayers for the health of a great young boxer, Christian Castillo, son of my friend and former world lightweight champion, José Luis Castillo. I invite you to join in prayer,” wrote promoter Fernando Beltrán of the Zanfer company.

According to ESPN Deportes, Castillo (1-0) was about to close camp, but in one of the sessions he received a shot that caused him discomfort. He passed out, and was supported by his gym partners while waiting for the ambulance. He was taken to the hospital and there he had the relevant surgery to treat the injury.

According to José Luis Castillo himself, the recovery of the brain has been good; however, they have found other types of problems in his child's health such as pneumonia and liver failures that are being treated by the medical team where he is hospitalized.

Unfortunately the news of Christian Castillo, who has just one fight as a professional, joins the chain of tragedies that have been experienced in boxing in recent months, including the injuries of Felipe Orucuta, as well as the deaths of Maxim Dadashev and Hugo Santillán.

When the news of the medical status of Christian Castillo became known, the boxing family in Mexico has once again joined in search of sending good wishes and prayers for his recovery and to strengthen the family of José Luis Castillo. Even José Luis Jr., who will fight this Friday, has dedicated his fight to his brother Christian.

all these reports on brain injuries in boxing...its depressing..esp on a young boy like that

True, this one seems fishy though. They conveniently mentioned Pneumonia and liver issues in passing.

Pneumonia alone will knock someone out, I’m sure it was that with a concussion.

Spence and Crawford aint even a comparison at this point

As far as resume, Crawford has unified a division before so he gets props for that. But I think Spence has the best opponent on his resume (Kell Brook) who was at one point looked at as the best fighter at 147.

So its really a toss up, I like both fighters but I will be supporting Errol in that fight. I respect him out the ring on top of his fight game.

Daniel Jacobs to return in November, likely at 168

The former middleweight titleholder will probably move up, but it could be a catchweight.

Daniel Jacobs, who last fought on May 4 in a decision loss to Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas, will return to the ring in November, according to manager Keith Connolly, who tells ESPN that Jacobs will “most likely” move to 168 pounds.

Jacobs (35-3, 29 KO) said pretty much immediately after the fight with Alvarez that his next move was likely to go up in weight. At 32, he’s been fighting at 160 for his entire pro career, which began in Dec. 2007. Early on, he fought at catchweights north of his actual division, as fighters do in the first stages of their careers, but he’s always been a middleweight. That’s a long time to be making the same weight.

Connolly says Jacobs could fight at a catchweight between 160 and 168 for the right fight, but it’s pretty clear we’ve seen the last of Jacobs as a middleweight. Maybe if there were a real big money fight at 160, rematches with Canelo or GGG or something, but there probably won’t be any time soon.

The fight will happen on Nov. 16 or Nov. 23, likely in New York. Jacobs has a deal with Matchroom and DAZN, so the fight will almost surely stream on DAZN.
