Is Wilder’s fight vs Ortiz September or has it been pushed back? Reports have been confusing. Heard it may be November? What’s the truth? Why would they push it back if so? Isn’t he fighting Fury in February? It looks like he may have to fight Whyte before May 2020 too if he’s still champ.
Wilders team should look to 86 that Ortiz fight. Sure he stopped him, but King Kong took Deontay to the deepest of waters. Other than both being on the same side of the street, I see no good reason for the rematch to take place. Jeopardizing Fury/Wilder 2 with a wildcard like Ortiz , could halt the rest of the momentum that Heavyweight boxing has gained over the past couple years . See what happens with AJ and Ruiz and try to make the Fury rematch is the best bet .

Ortiz been looking flabby on his last few fights though. Imo Wilder wins easier this time, Ortiz passed it. Well... he probably passed it a long time ago and he was in his physical prime like 10 years ago but on his recent fights it seemed like he really gotten old.
It’s a pity we didn’t have a prime Ortiz in the Klitschko era, would have been interesting.

How he gonna do that if PBC has no interest letting it
They are happy to have 90% of the 147 top fighters they not about to give the rival's fighter a chance to beat their guys, you can't be serious blaming Crawford for this. You can say "why he re-signed with Top Rank then?" (do we know if he had other offers? do we know if he had any other choice (see Mikey's case)? He got good money too) but the halves should be blamed accordingly how much they are in control.
Crawford probably only gonna fight the more important PBC guys when the PBC guys finished with each other, hopefully next year and if he beats Spence/Porter/Pac/Thurman or whoever comes out winner of the PBC tournament then nobody can say nothing about his resume and who he beat anymore. :yeshrug:

He should be fresh as a daisy when/if he fights the 3 belt holder from PBC because he fights nobody where he's currently at though. Let's say Thurman emerges at the end of 2020 with 3 of the 4 belts, that'll mean he's mowed down

Porter
Garcia
Pacquaio
Spence

while Thurman will have fought

Horn
Benevidez Jr.
Khan
(possbily) Egidijus Kavaliauskas

:usure:

Not using that as a built in excuse but homie got resume issues something serious and he got nobody to blame but himself that he's been frozen out :yeshrug:

How can you say that after I explained through multiple posts why it’s not that simple and what would have happened to him otherwise?

Sorry brehs but if you are saying wasting 2 years of his prime by not fighting, possibly never regaining his momentum would have been the right decision to him that’s just crazy to me. You can’t seriously expect that from a fighter just cause rigged boxing politics

Mikey sat out some years, Ward did it, Mayweather got benched (or himself benched) after the Hatton fight. If he really wanted to get himself over to PBC, it could have been achieved. And we know darn well that Haymon would have inked him to a deal, why wouldn't he?

What Crawford did was smart in a way. Make all the top welterweights fight each other, claim you're being ducked, then fight the winner of the PBC tournament. All the other top welterweights are put through the gauntlet with multiple tough fights while Crawford only has to take one tough and meaningful fight.

He also won't be accused of ducking because he's with Top Rank, Arum has the media by the balls. The media will have his back and continue to push the narrative of Bud being ducked and just blame Haymon like they always do for everything.

It's kinda crazy how a 40 year old Pacquiao actually realized the predicament the 147 division was in and jumped ship in order to fight the best, while a prime Crawford decided to re sign with Top rank. It's a shame because I think Crawford beats everyone at 147 but I'm not a fan of giving people credit for imaginary wins.

Mikey did it and came back better than before and made more money. Granted Mikey had real fights before his time out, and Crawford still doesn't have a good win. But it's definitely doable...especially with how much he's made fighting bumps the past......idk how many years
