i think the big thing is most ppl thought he underachieved

me i didnt think too highly of him..esp after he went life and death with carson jones...he corrected that though..when he schooled porter in a fight where i thought porter's bradley lite style would wear him down...he was good in my book after that

that porter win looks even better since porter raised his profile at welter because no one has come close to beating him convincingly like he did

but he fukked up taking that GGG fight and showed balls honoring his 147 mandatory and fighting spence after that and giving him a hard time before getting his face broken again

i just dont want to see kell turn into modern day margarito looking like this

can understand that hunger in a way. I didn't like road work or a lot of other stuff. Hell there are times I even quit running but in a fight sparring idk but that shyt brings out the dog. Like the pride won't let me stop or something even if fukked up. That shyt pushes me harder than I normally would in other physical activities. Its hard to explain but this shyt something else so I can see where some of these cats are coming from especially when they've been doing this all their lives......even when its unwise to do so.

Also despite my previous post, Kell Brooks best win was 4.75yrsago which wasn’t even that great of a win at the time.

Kell been overrated as fukk since then. Got a belt ran back to Europe, got a machete slash for being a fsggot, and fought jobbers until Ggg unot and Spence re calibratedhis vision.

That would be far and away Crawford’s best victory. Speaks volumes about him.

Houston Boxing scene crazy.
Marquis "Marvelous" Taylor former NABF champ and Jermell Charlo sparring partner.
Came in cause he's 6'1 welterweight with long jab to get Charlo ready for Harrison. Now he's fighting on the card Sunday.

2016 National Champion. Ranked No 1 at 152 in the nation in 2018. Sparred Spence Crawford Regis Shakur etc. Currently sparring with Charlo and fighting this Sunday on the PBC Fox card.

Houston’s Quinton ‘Quick Draw’ Randall

Another one :wow:

Both these young killers have been getting Jermell Charlo ready for Harrison, now Cota.

I actually became a fan of Brook and was excited to see him @ 147 after the Porter fight. I thought Thurman vs. Brook was the fight to make, but Kell started acting real funny after he got that belt. I don't know if he was just chasing a Khan fight or what, but he faced JoJo Dan, Frankie Gavin and some other fighter before he said fukk it and fought G. It was a valiant effort, but he got stopped in 5. He goes on to face Errol Spence at Sheffield, and again he shows a lot of heart, but gets stopped.

What has he done since then??

Anyways, the point is I don't hate Kell Brook. I just don't agree that in 2019, a win over Kell is at all significant. Brook is not the win that Crawford is looking for. It will not solidify his resume.

Brook fights Jessie Vargas in 2016 like he was suppose to do and the WW division has its clarity a lot quicker than it took. He could have beaten Vargas and then have two belts and possibly either a HUGE money fight with Pacquaio or eventually an undisputed fight with Thurman. But instead.....
