Good question... his career has been more consistent than Roy’s cause he relied more on fundamentals. Let’s say 2001-2009/10 but he hasn’t slipped much even after that, you can even argue 2013 Floyd who schooled green Canelo was prime... It’s like he only became a tad slower after his prome and kept that same level till the end of his career (except if you count the McGregor fight where he looked worse)
canelo was not green and floyd was 36

Don't get so defensive breh, Canelo was definitely green, he improved a lot since but it was a great performance by Floyd, nobody's doubting that
not defensive
i just remember what was being said before the fight
oscar was pushing for the fight and said floyd was ducking canelo lol
many ppl picked canelo to win as well
i was in vegas for the fight lol
the green narrative was created afterwards

Canelo touched on the subject for Floyd Mayweather Jr., who the Mexican star is claiming walked away from a planned September fight. Canelo was going to fight Trout on Mayweather's May 4th undercard - pursuant to Mayweather's signature on a contract for the two of them to fight in September.

"He made all of the terms [in the contract]. There was an agreement and he did not sign it. We talked with Golden Boy week after week. He wouldn't sign and I refused to fight on his card. It dragged out week after week. Mayweather decided everything [in the contract], money and everything. The only thing I wanted was to beat him. So I was willing to take a risk with the money [by fighting on his undercard]. I just wanted to beat him. He is not a man of his word. Today he says 'yes', tomorrow he says 'no,'" said Canelo.

I watched Crawford vs Benavidez last night. Have seen it before but wanted to rewatch. Crawford got touched a lot that fight, and he had a really hard time figuring out how to get through Benavidez defense. The size difference really did affect him. The good news is there aren't many welterweights as big as Benavidez. The bad news is Crawford's current rival is just as big, more skilled, hits harder and has better defense. Not gonna say Spence steam rolls him, but if it happened I wouldn't be surprised.

What a fight. Are we sure Shakur beats Oscar? I'm not so sure. Only thing I don't like.about Oscar is that he keeps his chin up. Outside of that he's a great fighter. Sometimes he over exerts himself with power punches and then puts his hands down...he should work on better pacing, imo.

Xu stopped him, knocked him down in the 5th and the referee stopped it mid-round next round as Kubo was punished too much

Solid fighter this Xu, I don't think he beats GRJ LSC but he is a solid fighter, he brings volume

Strange that he only has 3 stoppages (including this) but it seems he learned how to punch with more authority just recently as all 3 of his stoppages happened in his last 5 fights.

Kimura and Canizales starting now, potential fades
