They are not so much on the ropes to pay Ortiz's old ass 10 millions, it's not that important to them to fight him, he turned down 7 millions, Hearn and Joshua has more than enough now to say they tried but Ortiz didn't want it... and they would be right too.
Joshua fighting Michael Hunter won't hurt him anyhow, especially now that Wilder is about to fight Breazeale on PBC and Fury is about to fight Schwarz on ESPN

It's not about it hurting Joshua (you're right, it won't). But without Ortiz or Wilder or Klitschko, this event is an epic failure and pointless waste. So they can deal with the epic fail or cough up more money. And I'm specifically talking about a failure for DAZN. So far DAZN has not had any must see fights. Canelo Jacobs will be the first. Ortiz Joshua can be the second.
