looking at all the division except minimumweight which I don't follow (yet) the ones with CONFIRMED fight/s which I looked forward to from competitiveness standpoint are
108 - Not much but Acosta vs Lopez should be fun tonight
112 - Nothing yet, we just had Tanaka vs Taguchi though which was good, Mthalane should beat Kuroda convincingly. Hoping for a unification later this year...
115 - Alive and well, looking forward to both Sor vs Estrada 2 and Ioka vs Palicte. Later this year Moloney vs Yafai sounds good, Moloney became his mandatory last week.
118 - Things actually happen here too, both Inoue vs Rodriguez and Donaire vs Tete are very good, looking forward to see the winners clash in the final. The WBC route is packed too, Takuma Inoue vs Oubaali is expected at some point this year then the winner vs Nery.
122 - Roman vs Doheny unification, not sure about Navarrete vs Dogboe 2 though, first fight was pretty definitive
126 - Warrington vs Galahad should be interesting if Valdez vs Frampton is getting announced that too even though Frampton is not in the elite anymore imo. Still waiting for GRJ and LSC to get themselves together and fight each other, especially GRJ, those 2 are both PBC and hold their belts for 3-4 years already and still haven't fought smh...
130 - Needs a shake up ASAP. Only half-good fight on the horizon there is Berchelt vs Vargas 2, but it's just half good for a reason. They might make Farmer vs Tank and they might not, I'd say they won't be able to cause Tank's team won't let him fight on DAZN.
135 - Nothing interesting now but tbf we recently got Mikey vs Easter, Loma vs Pedraza and Loma vs Linares there... Could be interesting what's gonna happen to Mikey's belt now though. Campbell, Abdullaev, Lopez, Haney all stand in the queue
140 - Prograis vs Relikh obviously and to me Postol vs Mimoune interesting too, I still holding out a little hope for Taylor vs Baranchyk getting made but probably Baranchyk will run off with that belt, fukk him in that case. I heard Hooker wants Ramirez unification but I somehow doubt they gonna make that work this year.
147 - Nothing confirmed as of now, Bud is my favorite fighter so I look forward to see him but not from a "competitive fight" viewpoint, he should knock Khan out. PBC should soon figure out how they can match Pac, Thurman, Porter and Spence though, my guess is we will see Spence vs Porter and Pac vs Thurman. Bud and Spence both said they would like to fight each other next... which means the fight getting made next has about 5% chance now, but at least we moved up from 0 lol. (HM: Swift vs Granados, should be fun but doesn't make my list)
154 - Both Hurd vs Williams and Charlo vs Harrison 2 interests me a lot, not excited about Munguia vs Hogan
160 - Canelo vs Jacobs for sure, probably the best booked fight rn, Andrade vs Sulecki and Golovkin vs Brant Adams in case it gets made are not bad either but I won't put them into that category
168 - Kind of stagnant now, Plant will have a gimme hometown defense, Zurdo testing the waters at 175, we don't know who Smith is fighting, don't know Eubank either. Benavidez vs Dirrell is not bad though, I'm gonna put it on the list but it barely cuts it as Benavidez is a quite obvious favorite.
175 - Gvozdyk fighting today but that shouldn't be that interesting, we don't know Kov's and Bivol's next opponents, the 2 fights which sound real good there are Beterbiev vs Kalajdzic (the dude who most ppl thought beat Marcus Browne) and Hart vs Alvarez where Hart will try his luck at 175 too but latter is not confirmed yet.
200 - Both WBSS semis, Dorticos vs Tabiti and Briedis vs Glowacki should be dope and meaningful for the division. Will be interesting if Okolie really gonna fight Lebedev. Lerena also called out Okolie recently.
HW - As of now seems like a good example how too much money can fukk up a division on short notice. All the top 3 are with different promoters and by the combination of some reasonable business decisions, deluded business decisions, huge egos, pettiness and short term thinking we might never even get to see these dudes fight each other anymore and we have to wait for an upset to shake up the division. I hope not but not out of reality... Usyk vs Povektin would have been dope though but we gonna get Usyk vs Takam instead... The only hope for a competitive, high level fight there for now is if 2 fighters from the Whyte/Povetkin/Ortiz trio really fight each other and if Dubois vs Joyce somehow (doubt it) happens.
