Well he's in a tough spot then.
If he loses tomorrow, he is going to 154. If he wins,he'll stay for a Thurman/Porter fight.
Oh yeah 147 is where he made something of himself..dude was struggle at 154...those fights need to come sooner than later.

Is there an uproar or outcry About Deontay going to DAZN?
If fox is the big player why does its rollout pale in comparison to DAZN....porter vs ugas is the best fight that Showtime/FOX will be airing in that rollout.. they still have matchmaking problems that it has not fixed.I’m not feeling it. I have DAZN, it is okay for what it is at the moment. It’s not anywhere close to where it can be one day as far as number of subscribers and quality. How are they going to market this?
Make no mistake, this is good for Wilder and boxing enthusiasts, but at this moment it is terrible for the growth of the sport.
Just as the heavyweight division was gaining momentum in North America, just as we have all these network tv shows coming back into the mix...it’s being shoved back underground to an app that very few people in North America have heard of!
Remember, it’s not Showtime vs DAZN, it’s Showtime/FOX vs DAZN. I can care less about showtime at this point, FOX is the big player here.
FOX’s marketing arm has been a huge catalyst the last few months (with wilder featured everywhere) and they’re just starting, the reach is 10x what Showtime can ever do from a marketing/engine perspective. They have been doing a ton of cross promo..because what benefits FOX, benefits Showtime and vice versa (same fighters)
I hope they can at least keep that part in tact as PBC is affiliated with FOX/showtime.... if no, it’s a terrible look.
DAZN’s promo is complete and utter garbage.
They are online only, yet they can barely get their youtube/IG promo right.
You can’t expect them to compete with FOX/Showtime and ESPN, it’s just not possible at this point and won’t be for a couple of years.
Less eyeballs = less interest. You guys that are in north america can sugar coat this if you want, yet can’t deny it though.
UK fans I can forgive as they just don’t get it. They don’t know that fox/espn is a staple in hundreds of millions of homes.

Increased promo and marketing for fights is one thing...but increased and marketing promo for fights ppl are excited about is another.Exactly. You can have all the boxers you want, but if you not making the right fights, shyt is worthless. It's the 3rd month in the year and Porter vs a bottom top 10 welterweight is the best fight they can put together so far.
and then most of the undercards for these fights been trash too. As of now PBC is underachieving. I feel like DAZN and Espn get more out of their product than PBC. Only fukking match making PBC doing is figuring out who gon still by who during these fights. nikkas will have Spence, Broner, Thurman, Tank, Porter, Swift, etc... all sitting in the same row, but you can't line these nikkas up to face each other consistently tho.
Seeing how Hearn has hardships signing these big names John Skipper was like
Complaining about DAZN being "just an app" makes no sense to me
Netflix is "just an app"
Spotify is "just an app"
and so on...
Clearly the new trend are over the top, streaming platforms not the conventional platforms like TV channels. Why do you think ESPN put such great effort in ESPN+ since its start?
The changing of guard won't happen overnight, big TV channels are still strong and they will remain to be in the near future, but it will happen eventually. ESPN is smart to invest in their streaming app and DAZN can be successful if they can become one of the flagships of sport streaming in the USA. I'm not saying that they definitely will be, it can still both fail and succeed but I don't see why/how the idea of having an OTT provider as a big player is bad for the sport. If anything it's good cause it means the sport has its prospects for the future and for younger generations who generally don't watch TV as their primer source of media consumption. You can't just be occupied with the present without caring about the future.
I think both Fox's and DAZN's involvement in boxing is great, former can reach a wide base in the present and show fights to many millions while latter has a long-long term plan which is created according to modern trends, investing in the younger generations too. While DAZN can't just solve to have a TV channel too, I think FOX might also have to start its own sport streaming app if they don't want to watch ESPN's and DAZN's back 1-2 decades from now. Showtime has its streaming on the Showtime site but they don't put nearly as much marketing behind it as ESPN behind ESPN+, maybe they should. But Showtime is not in direct competition with sports channels like ESPN otherwise than boxing so it's more complicated... They might be out of boxing soon like HBO did...

The eyes are there and most of the fights on that platform have been good we all thought the Charlos were in mismatches but look at those fights. They not gone just start the deal off with all the fire.If fox is the big player why does its rollout pale in comparison to DAZN....porter vs ugas is the best fight that Showtime/FOX will be airing in that rollout.. they still have matchmaking problems that it has not fixed.
Getting a shyt ton of money and getting ready to fight for undisputedCongratulating him for what?
