Breh there’s like three cats from this thread besides the obvious squad that I’ll even entrertain talking boxing with. The replies on my IG and twitter are ridiculous. Check out the comments on Champsides youtube :mjlol:

That’s the internet, anyone can drop a thought. Comments not that bad, like anything...it’s a mix from hardcore to casuals. Neither guarantees great insight lol

It's cuz these nikkas are boxer stans and not boxing stans.

Everyone wants to hit the big stan jackpot like Fight Hype did with Floyd or how Ellie did with the Garcia's so they just stan and cheer lead non-stop hoping it gets them noticed so they can get access to the boxers. Thing with that method is you become transparent and nobody that truly knows boxing will take you serious. You pretty much become a hired dikk rider void of any integrity.

:scust:

Does anyone remember how bitter Greg Leon from Boxingtalk was over losing exclusive access to Floyd? Nygga was acting like a bytch, getting all personal.

Got into an argument w a kid at the gym about Jersey Joe :gucci: Mayweather got these kids thinking that anyone w losses is a bum. :gucci: like nikka ain't nobody running thru Marciano, Charles and fukking Joe Luis each like 3 times each without taking any losses these are all time great fighters :gucci: mind you Joe wasn't even properly trained or managed until he was already washed, he was just a street kid that boxed, the nikka had hard ass 1930s/40s jobs while boxing :gucci: just frustrating convo :martin: trying to teach these kids about they legends man :snoop:

I'm starting to do the same with music too :hubie:

Yup, I remember that shyt. Dude used to dikk ride Floyd something serious and post his interviews all the time. They fell out once Leon reported that Floyd got finessed outta a bunch of bread thru some bullshyt scam. This was after they were making fun of Pac's money problems. That showed me right then, that none of these nikkas want you to report shyt an be objective. They just want somebody that that will stan and promote them.

With that said, Greg over played his hand with that move. Dude should have known that a guy with Floyd's ego would never be cool with a nikka putting his business out there like that. nikka took it personal cuz he knew he fukked up and that was his final shot at being one of the big boys in boxing media.

Remember this was after Greg pissed everyone off by leaking the 1st contender results. Dude wouldn't even apologize about it either. He called out and slammed HBO for leaking some news that he discovered first. Lampley ended up giving dude his credit on the next televised fight, but you can tell it was gonna be the last time he ever did that shyt. nikka took down the forum from boxingtalk when that shyt was popping because he wanted more focus on the exclusive content that he was trying to push with paid subscriptions. He was trying to do what Maxboxing was doing at the time, but it came off looking tacky. Dude just made a lot of funny style moves that ended up costing him in the long run.

All them Greg Leon L's set the stage for Fight Hype to get started and eventually eclipse him. It's crazy how shyt turns out sometimes.

I don’t agree with your point of view on this one.

The problem is when Greg posted that story, it made him come off as a hoe who will do anything for a story as opposed to someone being objective. The story really had nothing to do with boxing.

You have to remember that Greg not only had exclusive access to interview Floyd, but he was also close with the entire camp. This is why he was privy to this kind of information in the first place.

Therefore, Floyd had no choice but to cut him off, as he doesn’t want this type of business out there. He can’t have a guy like this in his circle.

If y’all remember, Greg had the ability to get real close with fighters. They would seek out his opinion, which is why he was able to become an advisor to several guys. He still works closely with Pascal.

Greg basically didn’t play the game how it’s suppose to be played. When you choose to enter this type of relationship with certain athletes & entertainers, you have to compromise. Your platform generates all of this attention, in return that person does have some influence on what is put out there. That’s just how the game is played.

Certain guys are only getting on platforms that they trust. Once you betray that trust, you can’t get mad that they cut you off and move on.

Ellie is another groupie. Remember when he had exclusive access to Wild Card? He was Team Pacquiao/Roach. Roach kicked him out of his gym and got really bitter. Obviously he was able to bounce back with Garcia, which was mentioned earlier. It’s benefitted both parties.

I actually like 78sports, but I can’t help but think his inability to be objective when it comes to wilder is due to their exclusive interviews.
