What do you mean it "seems" clear??. Wilder has outright said he not thinking about AJ and his focus now is Tyson Fury.. Especially since the last fight was a draw... Also.. Why all of a sudden now does it seem AJ wants the fight, but not before. Gotta ask yourself these questions

It's not irrelevant though. What happened in the past is how why we're where we are today.. Had Ass Juice and Eddie set the date and venue before instead of playing games Fury wouldn't even be a factor right now.. Now they have to wait. SIMPLE AS THAT

Bottom line is this..
When Wilder was hung ho abput making this fight with AJ, them dudes were on their bullsgit.. You cant fault the man for losing interest.. Why yall thought Wilder was supposed to chase after AJ forever like ggg was chasing Canelo?? Hell nah :mjlol:

I mean they offering Wilder the fight but he's saying he wants the Fury rematch now. I think AJ has always wanted the fight personally. Not sure if business between the different promoters got in the way or what happened but they are telling different stories. Why does Wilder want to fight Fury again though now? He could be undisputed champion fighting AJ, have all the belts and then have the rematch with Fury be even bigger.

It could be irrelevant if Wilder accepts the fight, if he really wants it and to be undisputed champ all he has to do is accept it now, then the past is the past and they can fight finally. If Wilder refuses the fight then he obviously doesn't want to be 1 face and 1 name as much as he said. If that was my dream and goal since I dedicated my life to the sport I would try and achieve that as soon as possible, I have no idea why he wouldn't want to do that as soon as possible, the Fury fight would be there for him regardless of the outcome. I'm not sure if it's fear or what, but Fury is a safer fight, with AJ it's likely 1 of the 2 gets knocked out, with Fury I think it's unlikely he knocks Wilder out, possible but if Wilder loses will probably be points. I've heard him speak about him not wanting his children to see him get knocked out several times previously in the past so not sure if that's a factor. He also didn't seem to want to fight Klitchko back in the day either and his resume isn't really anywhere near Joshua's overall so leads me to believe he may have some fear there.

Why would you lose interest in being undisputed champion? It's not about AJ, it's about creating a legacy and fulfilling a dream and an incredible achievement and be in genuinely 1 of the biggest fights in boxing history. He has the opportunity do all of that but he's rejecting it, so at this point it's him who's keeping that fight from happening, which is a shame.

Be upset cause a fighter willingly takes on tougher challenges
Just like Ruler I want AJ vs Wilder to have the magnitude it has now, 2 big punchers, both undefeated, both in their prime, for undisputed, not 1 year from now when imo Wilder gonna have an L on his record and will be w/o his belt. I take the latter too but prefer if they fight now. Fury gonna be just as tough or more to the winner afterwards.

Roy Jones Jr., a multi-time world champion and future Hall of Fame boxer, formed the Las Vegas-based promotional company, RJJ Boxing Promotions, three years ago with Las Vegas entrepreneur Keith Veltre, developing a growing stable of fighters in a short period of time.

"I was elated when my partner, Keith Veltre, told me he had started talking with UFC," Jones said. "This is just the beginning stages of a long, lucrative partnership between these two brands."

"Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions will give us competitive, compelling fights to stream to our FIGHT PASS subscribers around the world," said UFC Dana White. "This agreement allows us to enhance our roster of combat sports while partnering with one of the legendary fighters of all time."

"I couldn't be happier to bring together the biggest name in boxing, Roy Jones, with the biggest name in combat sports, UFC," said Veltre. "I love that the UFC is allowing us to be creative, so expect to see prospects, tournaments, title fights and more in this series."

Chris Van Heerden's father was killed in South Africa

The 61 year-old, who leaves behind 13 children including Chris, was shot dead shortly after eating lunch in Meyerton, Gauteng.

Van Heerden Sr, who also has an MMA fighter son named Danie Jr, slipped away following a shocking incident in the arms of his son DonJaun.

DonJuan, 17, was with his dad on the corner of Johan le Roux near Bokkie Delport Scrapyard when he got into a confrontation with a security guard.

After a back and forth exchange, the security guard shot Van Heerden once in the back as he walked away after believing a crime was about to be committed.

That allegation has not been proven and the security guard was subsequently arrested.

De Deur Police are still investigating.

Chris posted his shock, alongside brother Danie, whilst there’s since been an outpouring of support for the Van Heerden’s on social media.

“R.I.P Daddy – 1957-2018. The world needs to know what is happening in South Africa. The White populations are being murdered one by one. Yesterday my dad was a victim of this!

“I lost my hero. Thank you for all the love and support,” wrote a heartbroken Chris, who flies to South Africa over the weekend from his Los Angeles base.

Manager Peter Kahn was with Chris as he was informed about the tragedy.

“I spoke with Chris moments before he had learned the news and immediately after,” explained Kahn.

“He is heartbroken over the loss of his father, who was his best friend and role model. Chris is flying to South Africa on Saturday to lay his father to rest.

“He appreciates the outpouring of support and condolences that he has received from friends and fans around the world.”

Posting on Instagram, Danie said: “There are many kinds of dads out there. There are the gentle ones, the loving ones, the overprotective ones, and then there are the tough ones.

“You know who they are. Let’s thank them, no one ever seems to want to do that.”
