The big arguments against DAZN is paying for it and the segmentation of where boxing cards air..HBO, showtime, ESPN, espn+...for the hardcore fan it what it is..for the casual its added on confusion about boxing lol..if dazn was some free streaming service there would be no arguments against it on paper

Yeah, division is another thing too many players in the game..it was annoying listening to Jim Lampley during the last Munguia fight on HBO only talk about Munguia facing Canelo or GGG one day................okay, so Charlo and Hurd don't even exist? lol

ESPN + is another thing I can't stand, they can't have Crawford on there again...they shouldn't even have a guy like Shakur Stevenson there if they want to build him...I'm low key still pissed that they snuck him on there a couple of weeks ago. You literally can not find one highlight from Shakur Stevenson's last fight on ESPN + using youtube if you spent an entire day..it's crazy. If you're going to have these streaming services like ESPN +..do it right, no pre fight build up, no nothing, no post fight anything either.

Oquendo: When I Win The WBA Title, I'll Be in The Record Books

Fres Oquendo (37-8, 24 KOs), 45-years-old and inactive since July f 2014, is still eager to fight in the heavyweight division.

Oquendo is still slated to challenge WBA "regular" heavyweight champion Manuel Charr on September 29th in Germany.

In his last fight, Oquendo lost a twelve round majority decision to Ruslan Chagaev (in a battle for the WBA 'regular' championship) - and Chagaev has since retired from the sport, and so has the majority of Oquendo's career opponents.

After losing to Chagaev, Oquendo took the WBA to court - and actually won a court order that forced the sanctioning body to grant him a world title shot.

"One of the most prestigious belts in the world. Once I'm crowned WBA world heavyweight champion they can never take that away - I'll be in the record books," Oquendo told Sky Sports.

The man who is recognized as the true WBA champion is Anthony Joshua, who holds the WBA's "super" title at the weight.

And Joshua is not a man who Oquendo would crown as one of the greats.

"Is he one of the greatest? No, he still has to prove himself. The calibre of opponents that he has fought are nowhere near the calibre from my era, the early 2000s," Oquendo said.

Oquendo has come up short in several world title attempts.

Now he must go through Charr, who won his last three fights - including a twelve round decision win over Alexander Ustinov in November of 2017.

"Who took more punishment?" Oquendo asks. "Me in my long career, or him in his average career? He has taken a beating way more than I have.

"The politics of boxing; I'm like the poster child. But I always had faith, and never lost hope. People ask me: 'how do you do it? Chechnya, Don King, the promoters, the managers - how do you stay sane?'"

this is one very delusional individual :hhh:..his era was the best he says but he couldn't even pick up a belt in it (although i did think he beat chris byrd) and he got stopped by john ruiz..if charr as struggle filled as he is wants to do something good in this "reign" of his, he puts fres out to pasture

interesting best i faced from angel manfredy

BEST JAB
Arturo Gatti: I’d say it was between Corrales, Gatti and Mayweather. I was at my best when I fought Arturo Gatti. Corrales was tall, lanky, good reach, he had a good jab. Gatti did too, his jab was stronger. I’d probably go Gatti.

BEST DEFENSE
Floyd Mayweather Jr.: That would probably between Floyd Mayweather and Steve Johnston, but I pick Floyd. He was a runner when I fought him. He ran and then caught me with that right hand which surprised me. He attacked me and threw 15 punches, landed three, and they stopped the fight. I was like, ‘What!?’ I’m cussing the referee out and arguing with Mayweather. He’s a boxer that had awesome, superb defense. He wasn’t using the shoulder roll when he fought me, that came after. He moved his head, he moved his body, he was just hard to hit because he was very fast.

FASTEST HANDS
Mayweather: That would be Mayweather. Handspeed is a gift. His speed alone stood out. His handspeed was a gift from God. I was fast, but I wasn’t that fast.

BEST FOOTWORK
Mayweather: That would be Mayweather again. Remember he was a boxer, a mover.

BEST CHIN
Gatti: Oh, that was Arturo Gatti. You saw the knockdown in the third round, he should have been out but got back up and weathered the storm. A true champion. Hall of Famer. All the way – Gatti.

SMARTEST
Stevie Johnston: “Lil’ But Bad” Steve Johnston. Very intelligent, smart fighter. He fought very well when he fought me. Mayweather wouldn’t fight him. When I fought Steve Johnston, he was the best lightweight in the world.

STRONGEST
Gatti: It’s between Gatti and Corrales. I really can’t say between the two. When I’m at my best, I say Gatti. When I’m weakest, Corrales. Gatti, I guess, because I was at my best.

BEST PUNCHER
Gatti: That was between Gatti and Corrales. I couldn’t make 130 and Corrales was a lot bigger. He was 6-feet tall at 130 pounds. He was a freak. When he caught me with the left hook in the first or second round, I hit the floor real fast. It was more surprising. Gatti was more ‘Wow’, you know you’re rocked. I was in my prime against Gatti. I could take more at that point than later in my career, so I’ve got to give it to Gatti.

BOXING SKILLS
Mayweather: He’s very intelligent, very hard to hit, good timing, very good fighter. I take my hat off to him. Steve Johnston had great skills too.

BEST OVERALL
Gatti: I couldn’t make 130 when I fought Mayweather. When I fought Gatti, we fought at 135. Neither of us could make 130. When he said, ‘135’ I said, ‘Beautiful’. Gatti brought out the best in me, I was in the best shape ever.

How am I gonna pay 9.99/month for a service that doesn’t have a $10 fight every month, and I have to stream?
