They said it because he is in the game for decades and has a long track record working with legit stars and building up stars.
Arum gets a lot of criticism too, calling him a good promoter doesn't mean he's always right or that he is necessarily a good person too (which promoter is that anyway? lol)

How long could the Spence Crawford fight take? Assuming that Spence unifies early next year with the Garcia/Porter winner, fights only twice in 2019, the second definitely not being Crawford, and crawford fights at best twice next year, and this could drag on well into 2021. Who does Arum have in his 147 stable?

I see, I'm not as strict with it
I see it as an exciting fight of the nr 4-5 guys in a strong division with a good style clash too. It's like an eliminator that which dude we should see having a go against the top 1-3 guys of the division.
