excuses? nikkas are talking about garcia is a harder defense...no shyt..of course it would be if he struggled to get a belt off a c level opponent...thats he was a huge underdog...lipinets isnt that great..and if crawford faced him..he would have prolly KO him like i thought mikey would..unless a indingo-lipinets fight occurs..we look back on the records..and judging by that indongo has the upper hand in that one..clearly lol

We'll just have to agree to disagree then breh.

Indongo was a C level nikka that never passed my eye test. Poor man's Ali Funeka.
That's what I thought of dude from the beginning and a couple of ass whuppings later, my beliefs were confirmed.

It's just that I see you go harder on much better/more accomplished boxers (Swift and Berto) while Indongo with all his shortcomings is just glossed over.

So...youre saying that unless 2 fighters actually face each other, then you have to use soley their record/resume to say who's better?:sas1:

You sure you wanna run with that?:sas2:

this is how i know youre running out of arguments...should we do it by mutual opponents then? :patrice:..of course not they dont have any lol

but lipinets has time to capture another title and not be one and done fighter to prove on paper hes better than indongo

i agree baby bull doesn't need this boxing shyt anymore...he won some titles...made some good money..had some great fights..and he has that law degree if im not mistaken

but yeah needing a gift to beat paulie malignaggi though..one of the few times paulie's outburst was justified..its amazing sometimes what going up a division has an effect on a fighter..diaz was doing his thing at 135..goes up 5 lbs and has trouble handling paulie's power

Maybe Ring brehs already discussed it but who do you think would have came out on top in a Frazier-Tyson fight ? :jbhmm: And how would Frazier fared with today's heavyweight ? :jbhmm:

@mr. smoke weed hello friend:smugbiden:

Mikey has until March 22nd to decide if he wants to face Easter at 135 in an unification or Ivan Baranchyk at 140 in a mandatory defense.....basically, he either needs to vacate one or get stripped of the other:sas1:

Im thinking he will rather stay at 140 & drop the WBC at 135:sas2:

I think Wilder he wouldn’t want wilder but him vs Tyson is a great style matchup I lean toward Tyson but I can see Tyson not being able to last If it goes past 10

I think if he fights the mando first he can keep both cause Easter is not a mandatory. He probably doesn’t really care about Baranchyk though

Robert Easter ordered to defend title against Richard Commey
3:35 PM ET

    Dan RafaelESPN Senior Writer

Richard Commey will get another shot at a lightweight world title.

Commey knocked out Alejandro Luna in the sixth round of a title elimination bout on Saturday night at Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio on the Mikey Garcia-Sergey Lipinets undercard. On Monday, his title fight was ordered.

The IBF sent 135-pound world titleholder Robert Easter Jr. a letter on Monday to formally notify him of his obligation to fight Commey in what would be a rematch.

In September 2016, Easter got knocked down by Commey in the eighth round but carried on and eked out a split decision to win a vacant world title, which he has gone on to defend three times, including by split decision against Javier Fortuna on Jan. 20.

The IBF letter to Easter congratulated him for retaining the belt against Fortuna and added, "We wish you all the best for a long and illustrious career as the IBF lightweight champion."

And then the mandatory was ordered.

"Your mandatory defense is due on or before March 30, 2018," the IBF wrote. "The leading available contender is No. 1 Richard Commey. ... Negotiations should start immediately and be concluded by April 12, 2018. If you are unable to reach an agreement by April 12, 2018, the IBF will call for a purse bid to determine who will promote the bout, when and where."

Easter (21-0, 14 KOs), 27, of Toledo, Ohio, was ringside in San Antonio to watch Commey's fight with Luna as well as Garcia's hard-fought unanimous decision against Sergey Lipinets in the main event.

Garcia's victory gave him a world title in a fourth weight division. He also currently holds a lightweight title and has 10 days to decide which belt to hang on to. Garcia said he is interested in one more fight at lightweight and wants a unification bout. Easter is hoping that he returns to lightweight to unify with him, which could lead to Easter asking for an exception to the mandatory against Commey in order to unify titles.

But Ghana's Commey (26-2, 23 KOs), fighting on his 31st birthday, will get a lightweight title fight sooner or later thanks to his victory over Luna (22-1, 15 KOs), 26, of Bellflower, California.

Commey knocked Luna down twice in the sixth round before referee David Fields waved it off at 1 minute, 54 seconds.

"He was exactly what I expected and if I had connected on more of my punches in the beginning I think the fight would have been over earlier," Commey said. "I was really trying to work on what we had been focusing on in camp but I just wasn't performing well at the start of the fight.

"It is the greatest feeling to get the win on my 31st birthday. I am looking forward to fighting for the 135-pound world title and becoming champion."

Commey can get this work after we see what Mikey Garcia wanna do.:birdman:
