I’ve never seen somebody even effectively hold wilder while the onslaught is happening which is scary but your strategy is sound hopefully they get it right in camp. Make no mistake wilder will catch you and his power is almost unprecedented.

If Wilder rocks you, you might as well go down on your own, bc he gonna put you regardless:wow:

It's like, when he connects flush, his punch takes your health meter down 75% immediately and put you in the red:heh:

I mimicked the strategy Monday with my friend who has the height advantage Wilder has on most cats (Dude is 6'4:obama: and I'm 5'10:mjcry:)

Clinching or holding a guy like Wilder (especially when you tired or buzzed) is something you have to train for imo and even then Wilder is Wilder. Nobody can do what he can do, but there's some who could do what he does to an extent or at least imitate it. Let them nikkas windmill bombs on you and work on getting close and getting used to the different angles the punches coming from. Learn to anticipate certain punches and how to counter them. Kinda like how Floyd and Roger did mitts working on reactions and punch sequences. These dudes fighting Wilder have to gain experience on the inside especially under fire. shyt like smothering and stuffing punches should be worked on too.

With that said, that's only a strategy for when he's super aggressive.

You still gotta deal with him sporadically launching that game changing right hand when he's being chased around or outboxed. :picard:

Wilder be pretty composed even when losing, like he knows its only a matter of time.

:mjlol: at Wilder hitting nikkas with the Infinity Gauntlet.

Even blocked punches chip away 15% of your health meter. :mjcry:

Naw bro, that's relative.

Is Parker a B Side in America? Mos Def

Is Parker a B Side in New Zealand? NO

Parker is more well known to the UK and euro market than Wilder is. He has some drawpower and hes waaaay more of a draw in his country than Wilder is in his obv.

:stopitslime:

Parker is not more known in the UK than Wilder.

Parker is a bigger draw in his own country, but what does that even matter considering NZ isnt a boxing market like that? Wilders smaller comparative draw in the US is greater financially than Parkers bigger comparative NZ draw

He tried but it was to late I mean as soon as he was hurt in the middle of the ring here he should have been aggressively trying to hold.

Yup 0:04 was a good opportunity to clinch. They were like chest to chest. Instead Ortiz covers up and backs up straight or stands there and gets overwhelmed. He was at a bad distance to do that because Wilders wild ass shots were damn near pulling his head down scraping his neck making him come forward. You gotta be bobbing an weaving and ducking at that distance.

Yeah when wilder gets your hurt the worst thing you can do is back up. He’s to agile and long for you to get away. Watching that round over again and man was wilder just overwhelming.
