So basically Lalo killed that couple he visited at the start and used the man as a body double as he had the same dental work, correct?

They also would be able to confirm he's not dead, so a lose end either way.

I just assumed the cops showed immediately after the hit but it looks like lalo had a couple of days to set things up

nice. I rewatched both too. Season 6 off to a very good start.

some people said the prequel would be inferior(prolly Star Wars prequel ptsd) but they were wrong. what an amazing show. I prefer it to Breaking Bad at this point. the writing is more nuanced and the character building is deeper. This might be the Frasier of dark TV dramas.

Saul is to Breaking Bad as Frasier was to Cheers.

I don't think Gus originally planned on killing Nacho, as he could've just had his goons kill him when they went after Lalo.

But after Gus talked to Eladio, who knew Nacho was in on it, all that shyt went out the window.

Gus gave his location to Eladio when they broke the safe open, and he expected Nacho to die.

Unfortunately for Gus, he didn't.

If you expect Gus to be perfect, which he mostly was in "BB", it's not a very good plan. But this Gus is more prone to mistakes.

As far as the Nacho/Jesse comparisons....that's spot on. But Nacho is Jesse 2.0.

If Jesse was in any of these situations, since season 1 of this show, he would've died a long ass time ago.

That was my understanding watching the show, but then I came in here and people were talking about him killing the bearded guy and his wife to use as a body double and getting the local dentist and/or the federales to say the dental records matched and then at least one breh was saying the twins only wanted Nacho alive because they knew Lalo still lived (I agreed with you that they’d want Nacho alive regardless to see who was really behind the hit), so I’m just trying to get one of those who think the Salamancas outside of Hector know Lalo lives to explain it all lol

Nah the twins were visibly upset (well, as visibly upset as someone with a permanent face can be) when they found "Lalo" dead. So they believe it.

I don't even think they give a fukk who was behind the hit. I think if they find out more the better to them but they're goons, they probably just want Nacho alive to torture him. Same reason they didn't want to kill Hank with a gun in "BB".

First 2 episodes were great

Lalo might be the best villain overall in the breaking bad universe

Between him, hector tuco, the twins, and Don eladio, the salamonca family was one of the most ruthless families created lol. I know they speak of a gus fring spin off but a salamonca spin off would be wild

I thought Nacho was done in episode two when he was in the truck staring down the twins, but that plot armor came though and he survived the shootout with the twins while driving towards them and crashing into an truck afterwards, and he got away

BCS is the only show I've been watching weekly since it aired (or maybe season 2). I'd rather binge because I don't remember much from previous seasons. I don't remember the couple from ep 2.

Dental wasn't the same but the cartel owns the police so any "official" paper work can say whatever they want.

He needed a guy that looked somewhat similar so when Gus sees the pictures, he thinks it's him.

The cartel (Don Eladio) thinks Lalo is dead tho. Only Hector knows he’s alive. I think the dentist that worked on the double was hired specifically to make his teeth match Lalo’s.

Great show. Consistently interesting takes on psychology and crime. I like that the show takes on ethics, where BB was so dramatic there wasn't much time to dwell on that stuff.

First 2 eps are great. I think things are gonna escalate quickly.

I just rewatched S5 but I'm gonna rewatch the first 4 seasons as I wait for the other eps to drop.
